Pressurization climb rate in the turbine duke
-
In the Turbine Duke I'm noticing that even if I turn up the climb rate on the pressurization that it only allows about a 1000 ft/min climb rate no matter how high I turn it up. On climbs to altitude, I'm getting a Cabin Diff warning because of it. Just me or am I missing something?

If you have everything configured correctly, the maximum climb or descent rate from the pressurization controller should be 2,000 ft/min. That can be quite uncomfortable for passengers, so most operators keep their rate knob at more like 800-1,200 fpm. As you point out, the aircraft will easily outpace this, but that's just one of the challenges of operating an aftermarket conversion like the Turbine Duke. Let me know if you have any more questions about this. I'm always happy to help.

Cruise climb it is ;). Another quick question - what's up with Vr in the Turbine Duke (102)? The other airspeeds are relatively close to the piston Duke. The only thing I could think of it being able to counteract the torque in an engine failure needing the higher airspeed but it's even higher than Vmc. Tried finding a POH or info for the conversion but couldn't find anything out there (outside of your manual).
