    Hello Nick,

I wanted to share a few thoughts about realism and “pain”:

    • Incorrect use of anti-icing features (e.g., running them on the ground at idle) should cause damage and visible smoke.
    • Wrong cabin-pressure settings should trigger physical effects on the pilot and passengers — like blackout or redout. Yes, if I screw up, I want to “die.” My fault, and I won’t do it again 🙂
    • When starting a new flight, all switches and systems should remain in their previous state (right now, fuel tanks are always on, for example).
    • The tablet position should be persistent — currently it always starts clipped to the yoke.
    • The aircraft should get dirty over time.
    • Since not everyone enjoys full realism, the tablet could offer toggles for enabling/disabling specific realism features.
    • FSReborn already implements some of these ideas, and I really like their approach.
    • Passengers could rate your flying and aircraft handling, including cabin climate (via the tablet).
    • More cracking/creaking and surface noises would make the aircraft feel more “alive.”
    • I want to feel on high alert when flying — knowing that one wrong move can end it.
    • How about a small dedicated airport for the aircraft collection (BS)? A place to call “home” in MSFS. I’d happily pay for that!
    • Aircraft maintenance.

Of course, all of this is subjective and depends on what you want to achieve. I’m interested in highly simulated aircraft and deep realism (the cold engineering side), but also the emotional side — anything that makes the experience more real and more “feelable.” Engines do talk to us. If you listen closely, you can hear it 🙂

Oh, by the way: GotFriends’ new Aeroprakt is career-compatible.

Regarding “seeing the correct aircraft in multiplayer”: there’s a package in MSFS called “air traffic aircraft.” It might contain models used for multiplayer as well.

Hope you don’t mind my little potpourri of thoughts and ideas.

    Cheers,
    Michael
