TBM 850 upgrade (2020 to 2024) on Xbox Marketplace
-
@Black-Square just home from a gig, Marketplace has been updated, the TBM upgrade is now free (just letting you know).
โฆI may leave testing it until tomorrow, Iโve partaken in more beers than I intended.

Wonderful all around! Thank you all so much for keeping me informed of the user experience, and being patient while we sorted that issue. Please enjoy the TBM, and always let me know if there is anything I can do for you!

Smokey01170 has kindly posted that the TBM850 lack of sound issue is now fixed on Xbox. That's great if it is correct. It would have been nice to have had confirmation a lot sooner directly from Black Square Developer re: my earlier posts 13/15/19/20.
Just to clarify - the changelog for the patch released on 5th September (and that is now available MarketPlace buyers) is here: https://support.justflight.com/support/solutions/articles/17000137147-tbm-850-msfs-changelog
The sound issue you mention has been discussed in various threads - a long one here:
https://community.justflight.com/topic/7589/tbm850-in-2024/51?_=1764841099305
and it doesn't seem to be directly connected to the aeroplane nor does it affect all users - ie, it's not something the developer could fix as far as I am aware. Others may know different. Either way, as we always explain, for an issue like this (ie, where something appears to be broken) it is always best to contact Just Flight support directly. A ticket can be raised and tracked and significant issues such as no sounds can hopefully be resolved.,Worth noting that this thread was originally about being charged for a free upgrade (now resolved) so it's not immediately apparent that it's about missing sounds. That is one of the main reasons I, personally, am not a fan of using forums for support.

@Flybeeson Indeed, I saw all your posts yesterday. While I knew what caused the lack of sound in MSFS 2024 (a change Asobo made), and that this should obviously be fixed as it was on PC, I did not want to offer speculative information. However, I don't have an XBOX, and entrust my pre-release testing to Just Flight. I was hoping that someone else would quickly confirm that this was fixed, as you were all waiting for the marketplace to update anyway before downloading.

Derek & Black Square - thanks for your replies. I was just getting a bit frustrated that no-one seemed to be answering my query. I now understand the background a bit better.
On Xbox many of us have been waiting a year now to have the TBM850 lack of sound issue fixed. I am thankful it finally has been fixed and we can now all enjoy this great plane in MSFS2024. -
@Data
I don't think that is what that is suggesting. "Creator Sign Off" is when we are able to click the "Request Release" button. We weren't able to do that until recently when they said the problem was resolved and we were clear to proceed with resubmitting the product. That happened on a Monday I believe and it was released the following Tuesday (there was no Thursday release window due to Thanksgiving).
