Wind spinning props and engines?

Here's an interesting one - just launched the P Baron cold and dark at KDSM - where the winds are supposed to be 26 gusting to 41 according to the ATIS. Both props are spinning - EGV (? - what's that) says 34 - 61 mph on the tablet - pistons and oil pump are spinning etc. Turbo charger is at 3700 rpm lol. Going to attempt to crawl to the runway and take off lol

Taxi and takeoff were uneventful (but the takeoff roll was SHORT - 400 feet MAYBE). Engine startup was easy lol - mags on mixture rich.
