What Does the Engine Fire Failure Do?

I feel silly just asking this question, I know what it should do, but in practice, I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary other than the engine health rapidly dropping on the tablet (and continuing to do so for a bit even after I deactivated the failure).

I wasn't really expecting to see flame effects coming out of the engine (though it would be pretty cool if that was workable), but I didn't see any abnormal temperatures or anything. Not one. No exceedance alarms from the EDM, no CHT or EGT increases, just a mysterious decrease in the otherwise invisible engine health.

This is with MSFS 2024, SU3 release, and the 1.1 version of the Bonanza.

Nothing in the Dukes, either.

Forgot to add in the main post that I have all assistance off but Engine Stress Damage still enabled in MSFS 2024.
