Overstressed aircraft at rotation - Bonanza normally aspirated
-
First of all, thx for great aircraft !
There's so much to discover and having fun with !What am I missing ?
If spawn to the runway, and takeoff from there, all works fine. I'm taking about getting airborne and start climbing.
If I do a cold & dark, I'll get a "overstressed aircraft" message, a few seconds after lifting up the nose slightly.- throttle fully forward
- props full
- mixure rich
- flaps one notch down
- trim slightly above U
- avionics ON
- primary alternator ON
- rotating gently just after 71 knots
I must be missing something, can't work it out.
I've also checked/reset any faults from the "radar", all good and nothing broken.
Storm Window is closed.By the way, pls don't open the Storm Window while flying, it will end up in tragedy.
I had to test today, don't do it.I'm on Windows 11, running FS2020
So from cold & dark I'm unable to get a successful flight, from spawning to the runway, it works.
I'm running out of ideas, pls help.
Warm regards,
Ronnie Sutherland -
Turning stress damage OFF in the SIM settings, just a workaround.
To be not really a solution, just a Band-Aid.
If I spawn to the runway, then everything is fine. I can rotate and climb as normal.
I’d like to keep stress damage on HARD in the SIM settings
Do a cold & dark
Perform a normal rotate and climb, without damaging the aircraft

This might be related to another support ticket that the Just Flight Support team and I have been working on in MSFS 2024 with the Duke. We have no idea what we're really looking at in that case, or what might actually be causing the "stress damage."
In the meantime, I might suggest that turning off the stress damage option should not be seen as a workaround. If the simulator's interpretation of "stress damage" is an instantaneous crash when you open a window, then it can hardly been seen as realistic. From what I have seen, the overwhelming majority of MSFS pilots turn this option off on day one to avoid its unrealistic side effects.

Ok, thx for your reply !
I'll turn off the "stress damage" for now, and when I'm flying other aircrafts, back to hard settings.
Needs to be on hard, so when I do something silly, that's the end of the flight.
Other option, spawn on the runway.
Just finished a flight in Black Square Ananlog King Air
Anything Black Square is good !
