Firstly, let me say what a beautiful aircraft and joy it is to fly. Both takeoffs and landings definitely keep you on your toes. I’m enrolled in the Beta for SU4, not sure if this is why, but the exterior lighting is non existent. The landing lights are very faint. There is no rotating beacon, and neither do the nav lights or flashing strobes show as well. Also I’m not able to see a co-pilot figure as noted in some of the screenshots. Is this a SU4 Beta issue???

@iflygary I do believe the lighting system in 2024 is causing developers a lot of issues. They’re all almost impossible to view during the day (not entirely unrealistic in some cases, e.g. nav lights can be really hard to see in sunlight). During the night I have no issues with the lights working though, besides the overdone volumetric lighting which again Nick and others are asking asobo to fix.

@Iconography Thank you for this information. Now that you’ve mentioned it, I have only based this upon other aircraft vs actually reality. Definitely a good point

            Hi,
            I'm on SU3.
When I fly the Bonanza with tip tanks (cold and dark setup) and I'm ready for takeoff on the runway, I turn on my strobe lights. Something I notice with all the Black Square planes I have is that when you're on the ground, the strobe isn't very visible, but once in the air, they flash fairly clearly in daylight. I'm less concerned about the navigation lights, because they can indeed be difficult to see in daylight, especially if they're the old classic lights. But what really bothers me is the lack of a visible beacon in daylight, even though I'm sure two or three other developers manage to simulate a clearly visible beacon light in daylight. I have no idea whether they're doing a workaround or just programming differently. I hope one day we'll have a nice visible beacon. But don't get me wrong, these Black Square planes are simply fantastic, and I'm sure they'll get even better with updates. I Really hope with SU4 the lights don't get messed up any further.
