Landing Lights at night

With the landing lights on at night in clear conditions, there's quite the "cone" of light shining in front of the airplane which makes it hard to actually see what's in front of you.

Is this how it is in real life? Is this an MSFS24 limitation?

Oh, trust me, I know... We've been asking Asobo to fix this on the developer forums for quite some time now. It's one of the many reasons that I was hesitant to bring my aircraft over to MSFS 2024 for as long as I was, because there are so many issues that get in the way of enjoyable flying in all conditions, even if the graphics are generally improved over MSFS 2020.
