Baron 58P Autopilot modes not being shown
-
Hello
I’m not getting the autopilot modes being shown on the FMA or the autopilot controller. I.E. I select heading on the autopilot I don’t see heading on the controller or the FMA. The autopilot will follow the heading I select also happens when trying to arm approach mode no modes shown on the autopilot or the FMA. Autopilot will still fly the approach but I have no indications it’s in the right mode.

If this happens every time, regardless of your avionics selection, either you have a GPS addon that is out of date, or something else in your community folder that is interfering with the autopilot.
If it only happens occasionally, the former might still be true, but sometimes it can just happen as a fluke in the simulator's flight loading sequence. Changing the avionics selection and back should fix it.
If it's a persistent problem, Just Flight support can probably help you find what's out of date or causing the issue in your community folder. They've gotten quite good at it with my aircraft. I'm also happy to help here too.

Just FYI I am also having this issue - in the B58. Could it also be a hardware issue? I have the TDI professional GTN 750 installed as well as the free PMS. But I also have a hardware autopilot - The basic one from logitech. Was going to try and unplug that and see. In mean time will try the above and report back. In my case it is all the time as well as approach mode would not engage.
As you press appr it looks like all mode annunciators flash and then go off. Interestingly heading changes in my hardware were followed by the autopilot even with annunciator not showing.

Yeah I am using the GTN750/650 from TDI I switched to the all King stack then back the the 750/650 and that seemed to fix it.
