Feathering animation

@wsuch it is animated though..? (If you’re using hardware controls for the prop levers, all the way back typically takes them to the bottom of the “normal” range, not into feather). If you shut down an engine in flight, pull the prop lever all the way back on that engine, then click and drag that prop lever back further, that’ll put it into feather and you’ll see it stop windmilling. You can also set up a key or switch to get into the feather position.

Hello, do you know what button I need to setup for feather position? Can't get it with "Propeller decrease" and/or "Toggle feather" options in-game and nothing on SPAD works either... I'm using HC Bravo throttle.

I don't use SPAD, but through FSUIPC I have the button at the bottom of my propeller axis do Propeller Decrease with a value of 30 when pressed, and when released set Propeller Pitch High (moves it to the bottom of the prop axis so I don't need to think about the value). I used to add whatever value I subtracted back to it, but for some reason that would often cause funny results in twin engine aircraft.

Just figured it out using dev mode in MSFS 2024 (Tools->Behavior tab).
For detent pressed it is set as:
send event -> PROP_PITCH1_DECR event (100) - used 100 for full detent.
And for released it is set as:
Send B:ENGINE_PROPELLER_1_IDLE Event (0) - used 0 (or nothing) because that means propeller on idle.
That way when I release detent it goes back to idle - without it, it stays on detent unless added anything on axis, even 0.1%.

@wsuch one person already answered but yeah it's animated. If you don't feather it quick enough the feather locking pins will prevent the blades from going to full feather if RPM is allowed to drop too low.
@pwnesbitt thanks yep its working and awesome i might add
