Last week I bought the TBM850, and I am very happy with it.
    But ...

... This morning, with the TBM suspended in mid air, just north of Venice, Italy, I was working my way through the manual, to familiarise myself with it's systems.
While happily clicking away, the autopilot suddenly disconnected and the EFIS rebooted. 👶

I use a pop-out panel for the display of my RealSimGear GNS530 unit, and found that whenever I mouse-over such a pop-out panel, the main bus voltage momentarily drops to zero (visible on the EFB 👍 ), resetting all kinds of stuff.
I tried a number of different pop-outs, and all cause the same momentary power problem, when moving my mouse over that panel.

Can somebody please confirm their TBM behaves the same, or that I should go and start uninstalling/reinstalling stuff.
    Thanks!

I also have the RSG 530 and I have not had this issue in 2020 or 2024. I've done a few flights with it in 24 since the recent update and don't see this at all.

        @jmarkows Thanks for checking.

To clarify: the problem is not just with the GNS530, but with any panel you can pop out, f.e. the EFIS ADI or the weather radar screen.
The contents of that screen are displayed in a separate window. Whenever I move my mouse over that new window and then move off of it again, the main bus voltage momentarily drops to zero, and systems reset.

Today I uninstalled the TBM, emptied the community folder, and then did a clean install of the aircraft, but the problem persists.

I am not allowed to post a short video clip (1.8 MB mp4) of what's happening, so here are a couple of frames grabbed from that clip.

This is the ADI in a separate window on the left (for those who don't regularly use pop outs: press and hold the right ALT key while clicking on the instrument's screen you want to pop out).

Moving the mouse over the ADI window. No problem.

Moving the mouse back, off the ADI pop up. Everything goes black momentarily.

        And then reset.

I am also on the release branch of MSFS 24, so I should be using SU3. I just loaded up the TBM again and confirm that I don't have the issue. I popped out every panel I could find in the aircraft, and none of them exhibited the issue.

Normally, my flow when getting into the aircraft is to pop the GNS panel out onto my RSG unit before I start it, so I started the aircraft quickly and then started playing with panels. None of them even blipped the power, no matter if I moused over them, or dragged them, or anything.

Initially my GNS panel wouldn't pop out, but the issue was I didn't have my RSG unit connected. MSFS apparently remembers where they are even if the monitor in question isn't connected, so as soon as I connected it it was waiting for me on the unit.

I don't have any solutions other than it's not a universal problem.
