-
v1.0.450 - Pending Release
Note: This Fly the Line update is in the final stages of testing. The version number of the release build may differ.
GENERAL
- Renamed to Fly the Line: Airline Edition.
PERFORMANCE
- Improved loading performance for the main menu. The FSUIPC/XPUIPC check now occurs in the background.
- Improved performance of the flight summary (across all states, e.g., Takeoff, Climb, Cruise, etc.). Each tab now loads faster.
- Reduced map memory usage.
SCHEDULE MANAGER (NEW FEATURE)
- Added a new schedule manager that allows you to create and share your own airline schedules.
- Added the ability to create, edit, and share schedules.
LONG HAUL (NEW FEATURE)
- Added long-haul route support: Look for the slider when creating a new profile.
- Added hotel stays/perks for layovers in the activities planner after each shift.
- Added a long-haul intro sequence.
Note: Diversions are not currently triggered automatically in Long Haul mode; however, you can still perform a manual diversion.
FLIGHT RECOVERY (NEW FEATURE/EXPERIMENTAL)
- Fly the Line will now detect if it loses a connection to FSUIPC for longer than 10 seconds. If this occurs, it will allow you to recover your Fly the Line session.
- Fly the Line will auto finish your flight if you accidentally quit the sim before you click END FLIGHT. You must be at the END FLIGHT stage for this to work. This will trigger approx. 15 secs after it has been detected.
SAVE FLIGHTS (NEW FEATURE/EXPERIMENTAL)
- Enabled/Disabled via SETTINGS (enabled by default); Fly the Line will save your current position every 20 seconds.
- You can save your flight progress (diversions/scenarios will not be recovered) and exit Fly the Line while in the Cruise. You can return and continue your flight from where you left off.
- If your simulator crashes and your aircraft autosaves, you can recover and resume your flight within Fly the Line.
Note: Fly the Line DOES NOT store your aircraft state. You will need an aircraft (or simulator) that supports state saving, such as the Toliss Airbus series or similar. This feature is experimental; use it at your own risk. Please provide feedback via Discord. You can disable this under SETTINGS.
SCENARIOS
- Add a variety of scenarios during turnaround phase designed to simulate potential delays (late pax, security issues, aircraft-related issues, etc)
- Listen out for the prompt (same notification as a diversion)
- Existing profiles will need to activate this via Edit Schedule panel in the main Dashboard (on the first sector of the day).
DIVERSIONS
- Added a variety of diversion scenarios (i.e., unruly passengers, closed airfields, specific medical issues)
- Increased list of diversion reasons for manual diversions
- Available airfields are limited by the minimum runway length specified in your profile
- Fixed a bug where Diversions were triggered mostly in the Climb
- Added a mandatory alert sound for active Diversion scenarios. Previously, if Crew Voices were turned off, the audio alert could be missed. This helps prevent Diversion prompts from being overlooked.
- The Fly the Line taskbar icon will now flash repeatedly when a Diversion has been triggered.
- Tweaked the passenger health countdown to provide more time, increased the probability of countdown pauses, and increased the duration of those pauses.
- Fixed a UI bug that displayed EGKK (Gatwick Airport) as the destination when opting to "Continue to Destination."
- It is now possible to disable diversions when creating or editing a schedule.
CAPTAIN'S MESSAGE
- Completely rewrote the Captain's message backend for improved accuracy and detail. Reduced the reliance on AI analysis, which was often inaccurate or unhelpful.
- The Captain's message no longer appears in your inbox; it now appears on the left panel after you have Dispatched your flight.
- Now includes full METAR for departure and arrival (based on live conditions only).
- Added graphs showing how Airspeed, Vertical Speed, Roll, and Pitch correlate during takeoff and landing to help you fine-tune control inputs.
- Added on-time performance analysis.
- Added historical touchdown zone and sink rate analysis.
- Added a summary and "areas of focus" section.
Note: A "cooldown" is in place; if you dispatch the same flight in quick succession, the system may not generate a briefing. This is to reduce API calls.
UI
- Fixed "Areas of Improvement" and "Expenditure" titles on the day transition screen.
- Improved the layout and handling of the "Today's Destinations" panel on the day transition screen.
- Fixed overlapping airline details text when viewing another player's aircraft.
- Fixed a bug where the "Skip" button was non-functional when visiting the Medical Doctor.
- Fixed various tooltips that were slightly clipped at the top.
- Fixed subcategory names under Profile > Personal Life.
- Fixed Level Up text to ensure the correct award titles are displayed.
- Fixed a bug where the Menu button was displayed during a flight when the Tutorial was active. The tutorial is now disabled while a flight is being recorded.
- Fixed a typo in the English tooltip for skill points.
- Fixed the ability to use the mouse scroll wheel in dropdown menus
- Real-world airline search now shows a drop-down list so you can see multiple airlines
AUDIO
- Toned down some of Captain Barrett's anger. Human Resources has requested that he improve his CRM.
FLIGHT TRACKING AND ANALYSIS
- Tweaked flight tracking to address issues when crossing midnight Zulu time; tracking is now more reliable for long-haul flights. (Note: This currently excludes Wings of Wealth flights, which will be updated later).
- Improved state management between Climb, Cruise, and Start of Descent.
- Adjusted vertical speed sensitivity to ignore momentary simulator stutters while still detecting unstabilised (too steep) approaches.
- Performing a Go-Around now cancels landing analysis instead of penalising the climb. Analysis will be provided upon the successful landing.
- Analysis now permits turning approaches above 200ft, only enforcing strict runway alignment on short final.
- Fixed a bug where some flights had missing graph data (primarily impacting long-duration flights).
- Fixed a bug where takeoff and landing weights were reversed.
- Cleaned up graphs across Summary, Takeoff, Climb, Cruise, Descent, and Landing by reducing data clutter and standardising units and font sizes. Added support for long-haul data.
- Reduced the sensitivity of the "250kts below 10,000ft" check.
Note: These changes should reduce incidents of incorrect penalties. Please report any continued inaccuracies via Discord.
FLIGHT DISPATCH
- Added toggle to opt in/out of SimBrief setting your schedule times (this is to stop SimBrief from changing real-world schedules)
SCHEDULE MODE
- Re-added the XP bar to allow users to monitor rank and progress.
- Fixed the Logbook button size.
SCHEDULES
- Reworked a lot of the logic to improve the schedules that are generated
- Added real-world flight times to real-world schedules. You can opt in or out of these when Creating or Editing a profile
- Widened the Early and Late shift windows (earlies from 4am to 9am and lates from 12pm to 5pm), which increases route options significantly
- Moved route generation to a separate thread so it no longer locks up the application
- Updated the UI so you can see what is going on during route generation
- Improved schedule generation build times
- Better handling of smaller route networks
- Fixed a bug that caused the calendar to loop when editing the schedule month. Changing the month will now correctly start on the 1st. If you have blank activities at the end of a shift, please rebuild your schedule to fix the issue.
- Added Quick Settings to Edit Schedule
WINGS OF WEALTH
- Removed the "Go-Around" state, as it was causing issues for some users on Final Approach.
- Improved state logic to prevent the application from entering the wrong flight phase.
- Added an automatic override to allow users to end a flight if the app remains stuck in an "airborne" state while on the ground.
- Adjusted airfield generation to favour civilian airports (some military fields may still appear).
- Increased POI radius to 2nm to improve detection for harder-to-find POIs.
- Improved the routes generated.
- Fixed the scaling so the XP and payment are more relevant to distance/effort.
- Improved speed of route generation across all three tiers.
- Fixed bug where some routes were a heliport.
- Fixed bug where routes generated where not correctly cross-checked against valid sim airports.
- Destination airfields now show the airport size, max runway length, runway surface types and if ILS equipped, which should help you decide which route(s) to fly.
AIRLINES
- Cleaned up airline names to prevent errors when using real-world airlines containing commas or hyphens.
AIRCRAFT
- Increased cargo restriction from 5,000kg to 250,000kg to provide more flexibility for cargo-specific operations.
SECTORS
- Added the ability to skip sectors. This allows you to move forward one sector at a time without regenerating the entire schedule.
NOTE: Skipping your final sector will cause you to miss the end-of-shift activity selection. Overusing this on the last sector of the day prevents lifestyle tracking and may impact long-term career stats. In Career mode, it is recommended to use this sparingly. Continue to use Holiday time and purchase household items to boost health and reduce fatigue.
KNOWN ISSUES
- Map lines intersecting the meridian and anti-meridian may appear split (drag the map to view the detached sector). This appears to be a limitation of the map component.

v1.0.413 - Released (11/11/25)
UNITY SECURITY PATCH
- Upgraded Unity to the latest patch release, which includes important security fixes (CVE-2025-59489).
LANGUAGES
- Added multi-language support for Spanish, German and Italian
FLIGHT TRACKING
- NEW FEATURE/COMMUNITY REQUEST: Added the ability to toggle on/off Fly the Line setting your sim time. It is now possible, when toggled, to fly any time you like against your schedule. Fly the Line will then offset that time against your schedule. This gives you more freedom to fly at preferred times of the day whilst flying against a set schedule. Be aware that Fly the Line is about giving you a schedule so your schedule doesn't change based on the time you fly. IMPORTANT: Set your time and date BEFORE dispatching your flight. Fly the Line still uses your sim clock.
- Sim Rate increase now enabled for MSFS 2024. NOTE: UTC time still ticks when in a menu or the sim is paused for MSFS 2024 so pause is still not supported. Not all third-party aircraft will support sim rate increase via the Fly the Line UI.
ONLINE PLAYERS (Experimental)
- NEW FEATURE/COMMUNITY REQUEST: You will now see other Fly the Line players on the moving map. You can click the icon to see the players aircraft and airline info. Note that no personal data is uploaded. Updates are every 30 seconds. The system will predict your path based on current trajectory so your aircraft appears to be moving on the map. Note: If you experience any performance issues, turn off the feature using the toggle at the bottom of the dashboard and restart the Fly the Line app.
SCHEDULES
- NEW FEATURE/COMMUNITY REQUEST: Added the ability to toggle on/off returning to base at the end of each day - When enabled, Fly the Line will return you to and from your base each day (similar to most European short-haul airlines). When disabled, Fly the Line will mix it up, and your routes will end at a destination that may not always be your base (similar to most US domestic airlines).
- Schedule view now indicates when you are commuting from one hub to another (between shifts, when Return to Base is toggled off). When you have a layover/deadhead, you'll see the commute route on your schedule. Note: Spending a night away from your base doesn't have an impact on your end of day activities or stats... yet.
- Schedule view now limited to four weeks ahead.
- Changed the restrictions on the available sectors you can fly based on your min and max flight duration
- Fixed a bug where Min and Max duration did not always apply to your sectors
- Small Props are now limited to 3 hours Max Flight Duration so routes generated are not achievable based on the general max distance of a small prop
- Improved logic around the Base ICAO route numbers. The counter in the dropdown box now matches the counters on the map and is more accurate in relation to the routes that would appear in the schedule that is generated.
- General tidy up of the logic
WINGS OF WEALTH
- NEW FEATURE/COMMUNITY REQUEST: Added the ability to toggle on/off Fly the Line setting your sim time. It is now possible, when toggled, to fly any time you like against the Wings of Wealth slot you pick. This gives you more freedom to fly at preferred times of the day whilst flying against a set schedule. IMPORTANT: Set your time and date BEFORE dispatching your flight. Fly the Line still uses your sim clock.
- Fixed a bug where Fly the Line sets your Sim time to 1 Jan 0001
- SimBrief button disabled for points of interest flights (there is no destination ICAO)
UI/ARTWORK
- Fixed the body ratios for the Captains in the cut scenes - thanks to Igigik_Jane for helping out with that one

- Map markers have been adjusted so they no longer overlap
- Map markers opacity levels reduced
- Users aircraft marker now solid
- Map legend added (this disappears when you dispatch a flight)
- Add a fix to prevent certain peripherals from interfering with the UI (like the new WinWing Airbus throttles)
- Fixed auto-scrolling dropdown lists bug
CREATE PROFILE
- Added a Quick Settings feature to help new (and existing) users setup some basic settings such as runway length, turnaround time and max duration based on the type of airline category they want to fly for
EDIT SCHEDULE
- Fixed a bug where Start Month applies the wrong month when editing
- Fixed a bug where text is incorrectly capitalised in the Real World Airline field
- Fixed a bug where the Commit button appears offset behind the UI
- Fixed a bug where opening the Edit Schedule multiple times slows down the application
- Fixed a bug that destroys your current schedule if you build a new schedule and it fails
- Fixed a bug where the "Commit" button appears even if the system is unable to build your schedule
- Resized and re-aligned the red warning box and buttons (after closure)
MY ASSETS
- Fixed a bug where bank balance overlapped the first product item
- Fixed a bug where Personal Life boosts didn't work when purchasing a room item
- Fixed a UI bug where some values overlapped
GAME BALANCE
Based on community feedback, some adjustments have been made to the game balance (mostly reductions in XP/Awards generosity), which many users have suggested was a little too easy.
- Slightly reduced XP weighting so you get a little less per flight
- Reduced real-time XP bonus by 66%
- Reduced XP bonuses for shift completion by 50% per bonus
- Reduced holiday bonus by 50% after each shift pattern (5 days of work)
- You no longer get a skill point per day/flight completed (this was a little too generous). Now you get a skill point per completed 5 day shift.
- Levelling up earns you 1 skill point instead of 2
- Increased the XP targets from around the middle rank upwards
FSUIPC
- System now looks for custom FSUIPC paths
CUSTOM AIRPORTS
- System now includes MS Store folder locations when searching for add-on airfields
CAPTAIN MESSAGES
- Updated the API to use a more powerful AI model which should improve response accuracy (i.e better translation of QNH values, improved, more concise responses etc)

- Added bank balance to the "Purchase Item" screen
SCHEDULES
- Enabled "Small" airfields *
- You can now filter small, medium or large airports when building routes. This can be accessed under "Advanced" *
- Reduced Min Flight Duration to 10 mins *
- Reduced the Minimum Runway Length low limit to 1000ft *
- Changed default Minimum Runway Length to 1000ft *
- Fixed a bug where the "Accept" button on the Map pop-up would still be enabled even when no valid routes could be found
- Fixed a bug where Add-on airports appear in your schedule, even when added to your exclusion list
- Improved Min and Max Flight Duration filters so schedules better reflect the time range you specify *
- Improved Real-World route accuracy, ensuring only real-world routes appear in your schedule *
- Airfield size filters now apply to real world aircraft routes *
- Country and region exclusions now apply to real world routes *
- Add-on airports are now correctly filtered by runway size *
- Added a route counter to the map
- Added some additional map prompts for too small or too large route networks
- Fixed a bug when Editing Routes, and blank days are generated in the schedules
- Fixed a bug where Scheduled Flight times were slightly out of whack when generating or editing routes (mostly problems with time zone offsets)
- Made a change to the logic which now prevents schedule changes being made after completing the first sector of any day. It is now only possible to change your schedule BEFORE flying the first sector of a day.
* You can apply these improvements to existing airlines by re-building/editing your routes via the Main Dashboard.
Note 1: After editing a schedule, some users may experience less airports than they previously had for their airline. In most cases this is because the filters are working more reliably. You may need to review your filters.
Note 2: If you continue to experience broken schedules after upgrading, and you are using a profile from the initial release build, it is recommended you start a new profile or ideally, reset the application.
FLIGHT TRACKING
- By allowing small airfields, this should now prevent the bug where the wrong airport is detected and you are wrongly penalised for diverting without declaring. Apologies to all customers who experienced this. *
- Added a departure and arrival airfield checker after each flight. A prompt will appear if the system detects the wrong departure or arrival, and provides the opportunity to change/correct it should the system detect the wrong airport. This should be rare, but it's there, just in case.
- Fixed a bug where users were incorrectly penalised for having flaps retracted after landing
* The above changes will open up more airfields, prevent some nasty bugs and allow you to fly in and out of airports with shorter runways.
WINGS OF WEALTH
- Fixed the "Don't forget to dispatch your flight" bug when you've correctly dispatched your flight.
END OF DAY ACTIVITIES
- Made a tweak to the UI so that only one card can occupy the same slot
- Fixed a tutorial bug where the wrong area was highlighted
- Fixed a typo "Excercise"
AIRCRAFT MANAGEMENT
- Fixed a bug where you cannot add an aircraft which has the same name of an aircraft that has been previously deleted
- Fixed a bug where the Small Prop Aircraft template has a higher Climb Altitude than minimum Climb Altitude (was 3000ft, now 1000ft).
* Note if this still occurs, make sure Climb Altitude is always lower than Cruise Altitude. To do that, just change your Cruise Altitude.
