Is there any plans to add cockpit persistence to any of the Black Square planes? The fuel numbers always carry over to the next flight, but why doesn't the configuration of the cockpit? As great as they are, I really feel like this is the one thing missing from Black Square aircraft that is holding it back from making it feel like your own actual airplane...

I agree with you @Jerrfyloob . It would be great to have a full persistence with every imaginable detail. Things like that (imho) have such a solid effect.
A full persistence mode (not just the aircraft as such but also its position on the ramp, snow accumulated, cool or cold cockpit due to ists position on the ramp…) would allow to have something like aircraft frames that can be shared.
Imaging, you would just jump into the aircraft that was just flown by someone else (shared airframe) and you would find the starship exactly how someone else left it. I guess this would lead to ver special attention doing the checklists…
I think the challenger in X-Plane can do all that and could be a very good example, given the fact that technically the bbq starship is such a fantastic aircraft.. !

Some time ago I made custom state saving for the Duke in AAO, including optional position saving. I may look into doing something similar for the Starship.
You can see my Duke stuff for AAO here, it is more like a toolset that may require some work to set up in your environment. If this is something that you might be interested in, let me know, I'll expedite my efforts 🙂

Hell yes! That is exactly it! If you need some support on this, I‘d be happy to do!
