I had a similar problem, when I released the Parking brakes. Can you check if it's set?

Just wanted to post this. I was following the preflight checklist, parking brake was set and after few minutes it kept disconnecting again and again with random timing. That really got me off the track and wanted to post about the issue... and just realized that I had removed wheel chocks.
Tried again with chocks. Waited few minutes.
And still got disconnected with chocks being removed.
Noticed the chocks are being turned off first and GPU is being connected shorted without the chocks set.

In the other topic BlackSquare posted:
@Black-Square said in Variable for GPU:

L:bksq_ExternalPowerOn Just don't go plugging it in at FL410. The VNE of a GPU is 8.7 knots. Don't believe me? You will find it placarded on the GPU 🙂

At the airport I'm currently standing the wind is blowing up to 12kt. I don't know if my logic is leading me in the correct way but it's just strange behavior.

Changed weather to 35kt and it's disconnecting it immediately. It says on the GPU cart 10mph/16kmh but I guess that supposed to be a towing speed not the actual wind speed 🙄
But why is it removing the chocks as well?

Both will disconnect if the aircraft is in motion. I have tested them in wind speeds of 60kts, so I suspect perhaps the terrain at your current airport is a little lumpy? That could cause the momentary velocities to be high, even if the aircraft isn't moving much. I can look into increasing this threshold velocity, but I've used the same number for all my aircraft and never seen anyone complain about this.

@Black-Square It happens anywhere with wind blowing stronger than 10kt. Can't you rely this on ground speed instead of IAS? That would be most reasonable choice I guess since I have 0kt GS and 11kt IAS and the GPU is being disconnected at any stronger wind gust.
It's important to mention that it happens only in 2020. I have also tested 2024 and it's staying connected despite high IAS.
Edit: It has disconnected in 2024 after like 10 minutes. It was staying connected significantly longer but still have disconnected.

I've had this issue as well on more than half my flights. MSFS 2020
