Little help with variables
-
Hi everyone,
A lot of you are using variables like >K:TOGGLE_EXTERNAL_POWERI would very much like to use these too and have downloaded mobiflight connector for that.
Can I use all the variables in the manual with this Software or do I need to wait for Support of the starship?
Would another program be better suited? I would like to do key and axis binds and am not building a cockpit or something like this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

@Dingle I use a program called SpadNext that allows me much more control over my hardware. I suggest it, however, there is also a popular program called Axis and Os that others use as well. Either will work to do this for you.

Mobiflight works fine with MSFS2024 - there was an issue if you wanted to send multiple events with one click, but is now fixed in SU3.
You can pretty much use everything from the manual I believe, you just put it in yourself. I don't see the specific variable you list in the manual, so start out with one of the many included things instead of trying something undocumented.
Fx (>K:AP_MASTER) for the AP master so you don't have to find the hidden clickspot. You just tick the Show Preset Code box and type the code.
If it is too overwhelming you can wait for others to upload presets for the Starship, and then it is just selecting it from the list.
SpadNext and Axis and O's are pretty much just paid programs to do the same thing.

Thanks, for the responses, I did fail at the point how to set up a simple event, I think I get it going now
I wanted to post a screenshot of the config of mobiflight with a simple variable for another pour soul, but I don't have enough rights
@Dingle Yeah - seems posting pictures by pasting directly has been blocked.
Here is an attempt with linking an uploaded pic using the full reply function:
This one presses the 5th bottom line select key of the MFD. That is the RCL key normally, and gets me back to my checklist. (an H-event but others follow same procedure)
Build from this in the manual to complete the example:
