ADF not working
-
Hi Boris,
Yours is the first report I've ever seen of ADF problems. Is everything else working in the aircraft except the ADF receiver? I assume you haven't added anything to your community folder recently that might be causing a conflict? If this persists, I might need a short video to help me diagnose the problem.

Oh, hi. Why have I set this to watching and didn't get a notification?
The only addon which comes to mind would be the PMS GTN750 - could this affect the ADF?
Otherwise I'll make a video (if I can find out how, that is). But what you'll see is that the knob is turning, but the frequency won't change or swap when pressing the FRQ button. The timer is working, though.
I'll try a reinstall.

Do you have any hardware that might be setting the radio frequencies? That seems an unlikely cause, but I've never seen anything that would stop the ADF from receiving the events to adjust the frequency. The next thing I might have you try would be to assign a keyboard shortcut to adjust/swap the ADF frequency in the simulator's controls menu, instead of using the knob in the cockpit. Have you tried changing the ADF frequency in other aircraft? Does it work there?

I've seen that behavior reported in my King Air, I believe. I think this results from hardcoded behaviors relating to the "general avionics" circuit that have existed since the early days of MSFS, probably since at least 1995. What external hardware, if any, are you using, and does it have any binds for avionics master switches in other aircraft? Disabling them for the TBM might solve your problem. The "general avionics" circuit should be on by default, but if something is setting it to off on your system, I would expect to see the behavior you're describing. Let me know if that helps, or if you need any other pointers.

Found it. Axes and Oh's does it. I have all my controls assigned with that. As soon as I connect AAO to the sim, it greys out the GeneralAvionics circuit, and I have to reactivate it with the avionics master.
Without AAO, the circuit is off on startup and comes on with the radio master, as it should.
Now I have to find out why AAO does this. Might be in the script for the TBM I use for StreamDeck. Tricky bitch...Thanks for your help :)
