Kingair Engine start
-
First off let me say I absolutely love the kingair mod. It is an absolute blast to fly.
Are there any plans for addition improvements to visual aspect of the kingair? I know it uses the 3D model from the default kingair, but there are a few areas that could be cleaned up.
One thing I keep noticing is that the props don’t accelerate with N1 quite right. As N1 increases during engine start, the physical prop stays stationary for too long. Then once it starts rotating, it accelerates too quickly.
The other area that I notice is the props usually load in the high RPM position, when the PT6 is parked in the feathered position.
I assume these are all things that are “because of the default” kingair as both of these items, (and basically everything else) are spot on accurate in the turbine Duke. it would be really cool to see the kingair mod extend beyond just an Avionics package and also improve some areas in the visual model.
Thanks for your great work! Keep it up!

You're absolutely correct. As such, the best answer I can give is that I do have plans for a vastly improved King Air with all those features from my more recent turbine aircraft. Unfortunately, the King Air, being the most complex of the bunch, will be the last of my Steam Gauge Overhaul aircraft to see those updates; however, the current plan is for the King Air to receive some special treatment compared to the others. I suspect you may be able to read about that last detail in the Just Flight news section sometime soon. Thanks for asking, and letting me know that you're enjoying the King Air! While it's starting to show its age compared to my more recent aircraft, I think it's still a tremendously compelling experience when compared to the default aircraft. Enjoy!

@Black-Square thanks for the quick reply! I’ll stay tuned, you do great work! A fully custom kingair would be a day 1 buy!

@Black-Square - will the improved King Air still be compatible with MSFS 2020?

Again, pardon me if I don't answer every question every time it comes up after I've made an official statement on the Just Flight News section, but I always try to answer new questions as they come up.
@mysticfm It is my current plan to make all of my future products compatible with MSFS 2020 as my first priority, since those aircraft can be used in MSFS 2024, even if lacking some of the newest features of 2024, and also because the majority of users are still on 2020 at the time of this writing. Only if/when the vast majority of the community transitions to 2024, or development for 2020 becomes infeasible for some reason, will I cease making aircraft for 2020.

@Black-Square - that’s excellent news! I think it will be quite a while before I can consider 2024.
If you made a statement about this already elsewhere, I apologize for not knowing about it. (I don’t even know where the news section you mentioned is … I just looked and came up empty.)

No worries. You didn't ask me to repeat anything. I just feel bad when I reply to one question in one thread when there are many questions being asked of me that I might seem to be ignoring. Here is the news section, for your convenience.
