Tablet Checklists Tab

I had addressed the checklist suggestion elsewhere, simply saying that it's a good suggestion, and not terribly difficult. It's just low on my priority list, since I already have multiple ways of accessing the checklists (Three, if you include Starship). As for Navigraph, I had a conversation with them at Flight Sim Expo this summer. I was expecting that they would have a generic interface package to make integration with EFB's easy, but I was surprised to discover that they do not. Instead, every EFB developer must create their own Navigraph interface that takes user input, requests the documents from their server, and displays them to the user. While this is not something completely outside of my talents, it's not over the bullseye either. It's something on my radar, but I don't want to make any promises.

Not to mention, MSFS2024 is going to have its own iteration of navigation charts, and by then the demand might not be the same as a tablet function. I tend to really only use ForeFlight and some occasional Navigraph on an external iPad. I know VC users would probably prefer the integration, but I would think waiting to see how Navigraph and 2024 play out would be best.

While on the topic of suggesting things for the tablet, would it be possible to include a copy of the aircraft’s manual on the EFB? I find myself regularly going to the manual for performance settings on several of the aircraft, and it would be really nice if I could quickly access that and all the other information on the EFB instead of having to tab out.
-
Just to add, while it may be in the manual and within the msfs UI. It's really not great for vr users. Personally the msfs built in checklist tab is very poor.
The engine power settings are only in the manual as well and not in the checklist. Which again is something that makes it difficult to use in vr. -

Just print out checklists. No Thanks for this suggestion.
Printed checklists aren‘t really usable in VR.
EFBs for charts and checklists in VR are amazing, because they don‘t break immersion like the default overlay panels.

Just discovered there is a tablet upgrade for the TBM850. Does the tablet need a separate download?
My immediate problem is with NAV instruments. I went through the re-install because the aircraft does not show switches for the choice of NAV instruments (I prefer the older G530/430 which I have used and are installed via marketplace). What is wrong?
Coupled with is the fact that although I do get GTN750 blank / and what appears to be a G530 in cockpit (the 530 is also programmable), but my HSI wont follow any NAV options like GPS or VOR- just shows NAV-arm in the autopilot.
ANY CLUES???
PS: I have not installed anything in my Community folder which has caused problems previously. -
@simnut531 Sounds like you have the tablet upgrade if the avionics selection switches are no longer in the cockpit. You'll find the tablet on the left side of the center pedestal, where your right knee would be in the cockpit. It's a white rectangle. Click on it to bring it up, click on the storage spot to put it back. You can change avionics and all the other goodies in there, now.
Word of advice: once you change the avionics, restart the flight. I only use the WT avionics (in the TBM case, a 530 and radio stack), and my first flight in a new install of everything had wonky behavior with the 530 flight plan that I haven't seen since, likely due to the avionics change without restarting the flight.
EDIT: there is no 430 available in the TBM, though.

@jmarkows Excellent, I will jump in and have a look for that click-spot. And seeing your comment also answers the query re 430. It has been 4 months since I last flew the TBM or anything else, other priorities, so, I must catch up with it all. I cant remember what it had in place.

@simnut531 Ok, I'm glad to report that I have found the tablet, selected my preferred combination of NAV radios etc, and all is working as it should. I am now tracking a VOR in the vicinity! Thankyou soo much for your rapid response!!

@Black-Square or you could add the clipboard on the yoke, exactly like the BAe146 has. That one can even be modified to hold one's personal PNG images.
