A couple potential issues with the manual?
-
Hey,
I noticed a couple issues with the manual which I'm hoping can be clarified or fixed if in error:
On page 13, the limitations section states "BOTH the Wing Pump and Aux Pump for each engine must be functional for takeoff". I don't think there IS a wing pump, and certain "each engine" doesn't make sense.
The checklist calls for the wing anti-ice to be tested before bleed air is turned on.

I have no idea how that snuck into the limitations section from the Dukes. I've already removed it.
As for the anti-icing, that's been mentioned to me before. I checked the POH that I modeled this aircraft from, and it also contains this suggested order, which makes little sense to me either. I've been meaning to check the manual for later years of the aircraft, which I will see about this evening.

@Black-Square Perhaps you've lost my email in your work, nonetheless, I can help out on a few topics :)
Here's the excerpt from G1000 TBM850. Subsequent models are the same.

@SliderCDN I'm sorry if I lost anything from you in my email. I checked my messages on this forum and don't see your name, so you must mean my actual email. Feel free to get in touch again if you have anything else you want to share. Thanks for the checklist pages. Despite anything I may have seen in the past, that's good enough for me, so I rearranged the checklists. Thanks for the help!

@Black-Square Scott from JF directed me to on Aug 11, 2023. It's truly not an issue it got overlooked because we're both busy people.
I can send you many more materials and provide my own experience maintaining these aircraft. While I haven't had a chance to work on 850 specifically, my regular customers were 700C1 and C2 (very similar to 850), 910, 940 and 960.
