Engine Trend Monitor Nav Page Bugs
-
This page im finding pretty buggy.
For example at the moment the To Dest. ETE is 999.9nm??? 01:19 (im cruising at 273kts. The local time is 08:21 yet the ETA Dest. LCL is 09:09. This doesnt compute if the ETE to dest. is 01:19??
ETA to next waypoint is way off as well. The issue seems to occur when the time is different from the real-time.

I just checked, and the two aircraft run identical code, so nothing changed in v1.2. I don't know if you've found it, but I have a statement in the manuals addressing this, that read as so:
Regarding this specific aircraft, the ETM Engine Trend Monitor includes many more navigation and fuel planning features than the EDM800/760 for reciprocating engine Black Square Aircraft. One of these features has proven difficult to integrate with 3rd party GPS units, because they do not all use the native flight planner. Specifically, Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) to waypoints and the destination may not possess the correct timezone offset in all conditions. As development continues on these 3rd party products, Black Square will continue to work with the developers to update the fleet, and bring you the most realistic flying experience possible.
I have asked all of the GPS developers that I work with to include publicly accessible L:Vars for these values, but some have been more receptive than others. Whenever I learn of new features in the 3rd party GPS units that I can take take advantage of to improve the ETM engine monitor, I will do so. As always, please feel free to make me aware of any changes that you might see in the changelogs of your favorite GPS products, as well.
