I am trying to put the pressurisation target knob on an encoder via SPAD and first had a look at the values being set by lvar:pressurizationgoal (as that seems most likely) but I can't relate the value to either pressure or cabin altitude. At SL the value is 0, if I set 1000 ft cabin and 10000 (ish) alt then the value displayed is 320.04. I had hoped to be able to dial in my target cruise alt and watch my local display to set the knob in the a/c but I'm currently stumped. Any ideas?

You've got the right variable, but it seems the unit has defaulted to meters (320.04m = 1050ft). Either just do the unit conversion on your end, or if you can set the unit of the L:Var you're retrieving ex. (L:var_pressurizationgoal, FT), that should do the trick! Let me know how it goes!

Ah - obvious with my 20/20 hindsight - it was late for me 🙂

Have not seen the option to use FT as a suffix..... new stuff to learn. Even if that doesn't work I can certainly do the calculation no problem.

        Thanks!

Mind officially blown - , FT worked straight away 🙂

Of course - I then discovered that the target refers to the cabin target not cruise so things went a bit sideways when I set 21000ft..... Am I safe to assume that the blue and red LEDs blinking on the pilot side indicate a pressure issue? Couldn't see them mentioned in the docs.

So for now I'll knock up a table with the cabin alt to set for my desired cruise level and attach that to the speeds sheet I'll be printing

Indeed! In the manual, it says, "Both lights will flash alternately when the cabin pressurization altitude exceeds
approximately 15,000 ft without supplemental oxygen to indicate a hypoxic cabin."

Glad it worked! Always feel free to write if you have any other questions.

ok - I will blame my reading fail on the hypoxia 🙂

Just off to do another turbine flight - getting so much out of these aircraft!
