Small visual glitch on the engine trend monitor instrument
-
Hi Black Square fans,
and creators of the most fascinating deep and realistic simulated airplanes ever made,I found a small visual glitch in the engine trend monitor of the Duke turbine version. :)
Whenever the digit "7" shows up in a right engine 2 value, all the red digits corresponding to the selected indication of said engine slide a millimeter to the left. This makes the display of engine 2 constantly wiggle to left and right.
This happens for example when selecting shaft horsepower, whenever a "7" appears the whole line "R _15.7" shifts a bit to the left, the same also for example when checking torque, "R__87".It´s only a small visual glitch but makes the otherwise so great superb and unique engine trend monitor a bit odd-looking when closely observing the superb simulated turbines.
Maybe you want to have a look at this some day for a perfect glitch-free engine trend monitor. Otherwise superb plane, really tops the Fenix Airbus!
Have a superb weekend, and thank you so much for bringing the best simulated airplane ever made. -
I just spent about an hour looking into this, because I can't let something like this go either once I've seen it. I thought it was something with the font, but the font widths appear to be perfect. It's not the bearing, and it's not the kernings, and every single point on every single glyph is at the correct horizontal location to the integer...
I'll try to keep this short by telling you where I stopped for the night... I stopped when I realized that setting different font sizes would change whether the numbers moved to the left or right...
I'll see if I can find someone who knows fonts better than I do to look at this, but in the meantime, I hope you don't mind that this is not particularly high on the priority list. I assure you that it will hurt me deep inside every time I see it now, though.
