Turbine Duke - Generator Overcurrent CBs broken
-
I had the left gen overcurrent failure happen randomly, and noticed that on the electrical schematic it shows the breaker as closed despite appearing open. Also the generator was still supplying power as normal.
As with everything else, this should not be interpreted as a complaint of any kind, just as me trying to help improve the product!

I wanted to test this before I said anything, but I'm 99% sure I know what you're looking at here.
Was the "L GEN OVERCURRENT" text in the failure interface blue? The blue colored failures refer to individual circuit breakers, while red refers equipment failures. The red "L OVERCURRENT" is the actual overcurrent failure. The blue "L GEN OVERCURRENT" is just the overcurrent detection circuit breaker. So, what's failed here is not the generator, but the system that detects the failure. Ironically, if you triggered the actual overcurrent failure in this current condition, the generator would still supply power to the aircraft, because the overcurrent detector circuit is not there to protect it!
The fact that the interruption between the generator and the generator switch on the live schematic looks like a circuit breaker is a poor choice of iconography on my part. To be honest, given the choruses of "I hate these tablets" and "I never use the failures" that I saw during development, I guess I never thought anyone would look this closely! I think I should be prepared to offer you a beta testing role after some of these posts, though! Regardless of how many of them have been actual issues or not, you are absolutely trying to break my aircraft in every way possible, which makes you the perfect beta tester! Very impressive.

@Black-Square You're right, it was the overcurrent protection. Interesting. I just now tried failing that and the red overcurrent failure itself to see if the generator would melt haha.
I don't understand how anyone could or would hate the tablet, the systems depth is the best part....I dreamed about flight sims being this good my whole life.
It would be an honor to beta test your stuff. I'm on the beta team over at HotStart, you can ask Toto about some things I've found with the Challenger 650 that nobody else did lol.
Maybe PM me your email address or something, would love to talk more about that.
