When trying to use "free gyro" to manualy set a gyro heading it keeps reverting back to the compass heading.
Free gyro is selected and MSFS assistance options none is turned on that would affect this.
    Any input?

I assume you read the "PUSH CARD SET" label on the knob carefully, and pressed the knob before trying to set the heading manually?

Does it return to the correct magnetic heading slowly, as if you did not press the knob at all, or in some other way?

Interesting. I've never seen this behavior with any airplane before. I was also unaware of the assistance option you mentioned. Might I suggest sending a ticket to Just Flight support? I promise I'm not trying to pass you off to someone else. This sounds like it might be a simulator issue, rather than a Duke issue. They have a help database that might have captured this with other aircraft previously. If not, then we can troubleshoot more here.
