CWS using MSFS binding
-
i see 3rd party sw being used to map the CWS button but please implement it so we don't have to use 3rd party mapping sw.
as someone mentioned, just flight 146 has a push-button (SYNC) switch that is the exact same thing. the jf146 binds CWS to the ‘TOGGLE AFTERBURNER’ assignment or set with the ‘SET ELT’ assignment. -
I've had some success by mapping a yoke button to "AP Pitch Trim Set" (or whatever its called - I'll check when I'm back home tonight.) I can then use this to "set" the trim when in ATT mode. It's a bit flaky but seems to work OK.

@ExcessionOCP I can confirm that this mapping works for me too (and is not flaky at all), provided the new v1.1 tablet option “Control AP Pitch with Hardware Events” is enabled. Thanks for the tip! I also can't quite remember what the MSFS binding is called. It isn't quite what you wrote you above, but there are not many to choose from along those lines.
I mapped it to the IAS button on my Honeycomb Bravo. Press and hold while adjusting pitch, then let go to keep that pitch. I presume this isn't a realistic option for the Century IV (the manual doesn't say either way) but it is convenient!
I thought I'd tag in @flying_drunkard in case this was still an unsolved point.
