taxi speed in the turbine
-
Question? I am finding when taxing that I am using reverse thrust to slow the plane and going back and forth between flight idle and reverse now will that damage the engine over time or is it acceptable practice?

Are you in reverse, or in beta? Reverse should be limited at low airspeed to reduce propeller blade erosion, but the beta range is meant to be used during taxi to help keep speed under control.

I have unrestricted beta range selected in the tablet but I am finding that I have to put the power leaver into full reverse if that's what it does past the gate to get the taxi speed under control or im just riding the brakes all the time ???

It sounds like you are only in the beta range, which is intended for taxi. Unless you have a hardware throttle with a reverse range (and you're using it), or you have button bound for the reverse range, then you're not in the reverse range. You could send me a screenshot if you want me to confirm based on the engine parameters and power lever positions.

Oh I understand what you mean when I go to the end of travel on my throttle I am at the end of the beta range on my throttle i have a button that i use for the reverse in bigger jets and trying it just then when I hit that I can then do the full range of reverse
