Piston Duke Carbon Monoxide
-
Hello all,
Enjoying the aircraft very much, was pondering about CO leaks, the air for the cabin is all from the intake side of the engine, there should not be any exhaust gasses present in the intake.
The manual mentions that the intercooler is the usual suspect for a CO leak from the engine. It should not be possible, from what I understand, to have a CO leak originating from the engines, as the intercooler as mentioned in the manual, would only have hot air after the compressor side of the turbo (which is hot from compression) and ram air from outside passing through it.
The pull lever mounted on the Co-Pilot side actuates a valve that allows more or less outside air through the heat exchanger mounted in the wing root, which also would have no CO present.
Just trying to clear this up in my head, again, wonderful aircraft, very excited to finally have my favorite GA plane in MSFS, good job guys.
