Cannot move tablet around
-
I thought I noticed this on some of the preview videos, but none of my beta testers reported a problem. I have a hunch, though. Are you guys using the legacy interaction method, or the new "lock" method?
The clicking to pop-out should always work, though, because that's a core simulator function. Were you RIGHT ALT-clicking? When you hold down RIGHT alt, the cursor should turn to a magnifying glass, I believe.

Sorry about that. I'll look into it. As a temporary solution, you might be able to scroll the mouse wheel on the bezel to move it. You could also assign the following L:Vars to a keyboard or hardware command if you have a favorite location for the tablet.
L:var_efb_rot_x L:var_efb_rot_y L:var_efb_dist

I had the same issue earlier. Switching to the Lock interaction option (in the Accessibility settings) instead of Legacy allows it to be moved. After setting it where I want it, I changed back to Legacy. .
Worked for me too. So the cause is the new "lock" method!

The pop out from the pocket works all the time. What I meant is the window mode is not working described in the video.

@Raller That's what I was referring to, as well. I have nothing to do with how that works, as it will work with any instrument in the simulator. Just make sure you are holding down the Right Alt key when you click on the instrument. This has tripped me up when troubleshooting with beta testers a number of times, because I can never remember which key to tell them to hold down.
If you can't get any instrument to pop out that way, tech support might have encountered this before, so I suggest you contact them. They have an extensive FAQ system for all things MSFS, while I only specialize in my own aircraft.

@Black-Square Thanks, I had a wrong key assigned. My fault.
-
@Black-Square I do use the legacy method. Thanks for pointing this out, I can switch to the lock method. They have their pros and cons, not a huge deal. =D
-
Glad it's working for you guys. I'll still see if there is something I can do to make it work with legacy mode.
For anyone reading this, I've seen the misconception that lock mode inevitably means the blue highlight. While this is the default setting, the blue highlighting and advanced tooltips can both be disabled completely in lock mode.

Unfortunately for me Ipad is unusable- regardless if it's in Lock or legacy mode. Only way I can operate it is by pop-up window...
SU14, DX12
edit: by unusable I mean I cannot click on any of the fields- I can move it freely though
-
SU14 & DX12 - I could only move the tablet after switching to Lock mode.
It would be nice if it works in Legacy mode. -

I got a mode that disable it, don't know if you own the C414, they included it in their installer otherwise I can send you another one I got from flightsim.to (but it has been removed when they changed their Term of use, and the following drama)
send me a private message if you are interested by, will found somewhere to upload you that -
@Nicotine70 Found it now, when you provided the context, thank you.
It's linked here in a thread https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=75844 -
+1 To allowing it to work in Legacy mode; wish you could turn that dumb blue highlight off when you hover over click spots (Would be fine then lol)
-
@themoore117 my comment right above yours mentions a mod to disable the blue highlight in "lock" mode.

For those using LEGACY below follows an example on how to setup a button to switch between two tablet positions using Spad.Next

Spad.Next button pressed example (you only need to use the LVAR highlighted in the red box
