Hi, today together with the PMS50 team we wondered whether this torque fluctuation is normal.

You have to zoom in enough to see it, but it would seem to be the cause of what you see on the GTN750.

Interesting. Thank you for sharing that video. I haven't seen any rapid fluctuations like that before, but it's certainly likely that it's caused by my custom fuel controller. It's also possible that it's caused by jitter in hardware control input. Some hardware with lower resolution analog-to-digital converters cause this kind of behavior.

Not to tell others how to do their job, but as someone who also codes avionics, anything like range rings, climb/descent arcs, etc, should low-pass their inputs so that jitter like this does not occur. In the real world, the solution to this problem would not be wishing for a smoother running engine. I've had to do this with much of my own avionics, though usually with my reciprocating engine aircraft. Sorry that my software is causes this unsightly behavior, though. I'm sure it's frustrating. I hope my suggestion is well received, and does not offend.

I have had this issue also with my FSR500. I was up on advice told to set a dead zone for the throttle. Honeycomb Alpha. I have now set this to 15 via Spad and it seams to work just fine also for the TBM8

One other thing about TQ i have noticed is that the ETM shows TQ in double value compared to the instrument.

@kaptenek Could you provide a screenshot for this? I found a mistake in my code that could produce erroneously high shaft horsepower or specific fuel consumption when ram air pressures were low, but the torque reported on the ETM and the TBM 850 and Turbine Duke appear spot-on to me. Keep in mind that the torque gauge in the TBM is graduated in percent, and the ETM torque is reported in FT-LBS.
