Another strange GNS 530 bug (IFR clearance)
-
So I start the TBM 850 at Norwich Airport. I've chosen a parking spot but haven't put a destination in the World Map. I start up the GNS 530 and type in a flight plan. I open the ATC window and tune Ground but there is no option for "Request IFR clearance from instrument FP"
I then go back to the main menu and repeat all steps with the FSW Cessna 414. This time I do see an option to request IFR clearance.
I then go back and load up the TBM 850 again and this time it works! Somehow loading the C414 has made the TBM work.
When I restart my computer the TBM 850 goes back to not allowing the IFR clearance option.

I had a similar issue the other day and I suspect they're related. I often load a .flp file into the map so the GPS is preprogrammed, but I've seen it not work on first load.
I have also seen the same happen in the 414 (and going back to the menu and reloading into the same plane fixes it) so I don't think it's TBM specific; it's either related to the fact that both have not been updated to use the WT avionics natively, with everything that comes with that, and rely on the marketplace pointer, or it's part of the regression that the WT stuff seems to have undergone with the recent SU.
