FS Traffic for MSFS

Hello everyone.
We've have a new post on our In development page giving a short update on the progress. We’ve included some screenshots of the latest liveries and a couple of previews of the tools.
https://www.justflight.com/in-development/fs-traffic-microsoft-flight-simulator
Please keep an eye out on this page for further updates over the coming weeks.
Cheers

@skypat
FS Traffic won't come with its own ATC system however the aircraft do interact with the default MSFS ATC. The traffic itself is injected by simconnect rather than .BGL files. You will be able to use the models with real-time online traffic within the limitations of the MSFS system.Cheers

Just dying for this add-on. I just cant live without it. It is hands down one of the best add-ons in X-Plane!

Could you please indicate release month or at least which quarter it will be released?
We don't publish release dates much more than a week or two in advance and we did hope to have this out in Q1 2022. It is progressing well and as soon as we have more news we will be able to make an announcement. Thanks for your interest.

One of the current issues with AIG is that it spawns random airlines at every airport, aka European a320’s at Kansas City. Will FS Traffic load traffic that’s true to the airport we are in? This is something the older traffic products did quite well

Yes, that's the point of the program. However, it will place traffic based on what aircraft are available in the database. So, if the flight schedule says that a 797-500 is due to make that flight and there isn't one in the database, it will either substitute it for an A-350-600 or you won't see the flight. That's most likely going to be set as a user choice, as we have done in the past. Then, if an A-350-600 is added to the fleet at some point in the future, the flight will appear.

Hi I am really looking forward to this Addon and hope it is coming soon. I also have two questions. The first is, if this Addon will be compatible with other Addons like the upcoming GSX and Airports from other third part developers? The second question is if there will be a Livery Downloader within the Application so we can post and download missing Liveries and Planes into the Flightplans?

Airports will really depend on how they are set up by the developer. The software will be compatible with default airports and correctly set up 3rd party ones.
Liveries - yes, you will be able to import new liveries. Plane and flight plan imports are also things we are looking at.

@derek Oh perfect regarding Airports I was thinking about Gaya LOWW and Aerosoft German Airports?
No experience of those, personally, but I'd assume they will have correctly set parking and taxiways.

@derek why only the Dash 8 Q400? No 100,200 or 300. So in other words not much of Norwegian Airline then and many other airlines using those models?
We have a finite capacity for aircraft building. The aim is to get the most frequently seen aircraft and airlines out for release. We will probably add some more aircraft types as part of future upgrades.

I understand that but when a freeware option to your product offer more in terms of models then that cant really be all that positive, at least In my opinion if I was the developer. What added value does it bring to justify a purchase.

There have always been freeware alternatives to traffic programs. The main USP of all of the payware titles over the years is generally much the same and, in the case of Traffic (which we have been developing anfd publishing for over 20 years), the popularity is usually down to ease of use and the ability to expand your game with a single program that adds a comprehensive set of high quality, framerate-friendly AI aircraft, following realistic routes and sitting in the correct sort of parking slots.

"What added value does it bring to justify a purchase."You pay for premium quality, user experience, interface, ease-of-use, reliability, communication with the devs, accountability by the devs, reputation, updates and the list goes on.
Freeware offerings are great but they are far from easy to use and the AI themselves have erratic behavior.
-
@leinsters erratic bahaviour is an Abobo issue first and foremost. Most likely a problem regardless of ones AI traffic option be it FS Traffic, AIG or anything else.

and you don't expect Just Flight to have fixed that? these are the things that you pay for and why having the option to pay for premium content - despite there being a missing variation or two - is well worth it in my eyes.
