Unlocking the Primer and GPS Problem
-
@katchaplin Thanks for your answer. I'll try that.
Carb Heat works fine. Never had a problem with it.
But the Primer never worked a long as I have the aircraft. -
Hi,
I too am unable to unlock the primer.
I have tried switching to legacy cockpit interaction under Accessibility but that has no effect.
When I hover over the primer with my mouse it says PRIMER (LOCKED). If I left click the mouse or if I hold the left mouse button down and move the mouse nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong?
Many thanks
Jon

Hi,
I can't unlock or pull out / push in the primer knob either. The sounds are there, the knob itself shows a slight vibrating left/right but the result of the priming action seems to be OK (at least the engine starts without hesitation). I just purchased the Warrior (from the Just Flight web store) last week. For now I'm in MSFS2020 and installed version 0.4.0 (tablet shows v4.0). Use of Legacy or Lock interaction system makes no difference. Left/right mouse button or scroll wheel (click or scroll) doesn't change this, the knob doesn't move as intended. I will check the '24 version later, after the first patch.I almost forgot to mention that I instantly loved this plane. I have both Arrows too, but this one feels so natural, so controllable. The team at Just Flight did an excellent job, I'm impressed!
I just read about the v4.1 patch coming tomorrow. I'll check that out.

Hi all,
Please note that this thread is several years old and the primer logic in the Warrior has changed in subsequent updates to the product, so any previous "fixes" may not be applicable with the latest version of the product.
In v0.4.0, we added support for various primer control assignments (‘ENGINE PRIMER’ / ‘TOGGLE PRIMERS’ / ‘TOGGLE PRIMER 1’). We would recommend double-checking for any control assignment conflicts that may exist with those.

Hi Mark,
Thank you for this quick answer. Meanwhile I have been fiddling around in SPAD.neXt to see if I could get it working. And yes, with succes! I didn't try the control assignments that you mentioned above (yet), but I did succeed binding a Honeycomb Bravo switch as follows:
Switched ON Set LVAR:LEFT_LOWER_prime to 2
Switched OFF Set LVAR:LEFT_LOWER_prime to 1This works as expected, including the correct unlock + slide-out / slide-in + lock knob animations.

I checked the above described bindings in MSFS2024 as well, and can confirm it works perfectly well in the '24 version too.
