Re: A little disappointed with the F-15

    Hi,

I just purchased this model and thought for $40 it would be highly accurate, it is far from it. My father flew F15's and he is here with me and the model just doesnt perform like it is supposed to. The Aircraft is supposed to have much more performance, it is supposed to accelerate in vertical climb. This aircraft will barely make FL350 in vertical climb. The aircraft takes way longer than it should to accelerate past M1.0. This aircraft needs a major performance tweak and for 40.00 I wish I could get a refund. I agree with the other post about the performance it needs improvement. Until I see some updates to make this aircraft correct I wont be purchasing any further models on the market place. I would appreciate a response and an update to the model.

@citationxpilot85 Hi, please do ask your father to get in touch with me via my Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/DCDesignsAircraft ). Getting advice from those who have actually flown the F-15 is very hard to do. I did have help from an F-15E WSO for the Prepar3D version, but for MSFS the aerodynamics are very different so we have had to start from scratch.

We did model the Eagle as close as MSFS would allow, and it can fly many of its profiles to within seconds of the real aircraft's timings and performance ( tested by multiple beta-testers ).

Any direction that your father can provide would be hugely helpful. Look forward to hearing from him. DC

@dc1973 He requested that you send him an email at your leisure as he doesn't have facebook. He would love to work with you and relay information and performance data.

    Thanks

@citationxpilot85 Thanks, I will contact him.

With regards to the F-15's price, it was set there as it contains four aircraft, not one, as per most other products. So, effectively, they're $10 each :) About right for non study-level jets, in MSFS.

@dc1973 Understand, I was a little aggravated at first but I think we can all work together to get it like it needs to be. The biggest thing we noticed was acceleration issues. Have you flown the Eurofighter model yet? Also if you want to do a T38 N version we both have time in that aircraft. Please dont take my comments personal above we are all good, will be really neat for us to be a part of a potential update to the model

    Thanks
