Altimeter settings

Is there any way to be able to set the altimeter in inches rather than metric? I have it set in inches for all other aircraft via the MSFS settings, but it doesn't seem to make any difference to the Arrow.
My other issue with the aircraft is getting a flight plan to show up in the GP 100, and with being able to change any of the settings in that GPS unit. Any chance that will be updated and become a more functioning unit?
I'd also like some sort of indicator when the altitude hold has been engaged (or disengaged). When clicked on it's apparent, but not always when it's clicked off.
