GNS 530 & TKM MC60 Digital Localizer

Can anyone tell me what I need to have configured for the GPS flight plan in the GNS530 and it's corresponding DTK's to display on the TKM MC60 Digital Localizer? Basically like a traditional HSI. For some reason I simply can't get it to read out a GPS course. Is it even possible? No issues with getting it to read out a VOR course.

I'm also trying to figure this out, can only get the cdi function with the 430/530.

CDI should be in GPS mode and the LOC SRC switch needs to be set to NAV1/GPS (up position)... but that's it. It should just display your DTK without any extra work.

Good info on the cdi mode however i must have misunderstood, that always worked for me.

What i'm missing is the "Trk" mode pointing continously to the station/waypoint, it can't be toggled in GPS mode, at least for me.

@Hoff_Flight If GPS is the nav source and the CDI is in GPS mode, the MC60 is always in Trk mode.

It seems like with the MX170B (NAV/COM1) and GNS430(NAV/COM2) setup, its impossible to link the GPS to the MC60 since that only listens to NAV1. I also cannot even get the plane to recognize and follow the GPS course, I have to follow the line in HDG mode.

@rinkerbuck yes, that is correct. GPS navigation only works if the GPS is the primary, not secondary, avionics unit.

@fizzboy Just for the record, the GTN 650 from PMS50 and TDS can be used to drive the autopilot from the secondary position, just not the GNS 430. I've asked Working Title if they were willing to supply this functionality, and actually spent a large amount of my own time trying to implement it as a proof-of-concept, but the code involved was above my paygrade, unfortunately.
