Installation, Hobs clock and Tablet.

I had the same issues installing this aircraft, in msfs2024, as has been reported in other posts. The installer gave an error, the file path was too long. I ran the installer again and clicked "Repair Files" that seemed to do the trick!I notice the Hobbs meter/clock doesn't seem to remember the hours when I next load up the aircraft for a flight. I did one flight in the 114TC the other day, about 2 hours, but those are missing today, when I did a flight in the 114.
I also have the Tablet bug, but not like others in the forum, which is why a mention this in a new post. So in the 114TC the tablet works fine, except that I noticed the Mixture on the Engine page doesn't change colour for Cylinders 1,3 and 5, but it does for 2,4 and 6. In the 114, I don't get any Engine page, but I do get the Headings along the top Options, Payload, Engine, Electrical, Cabin and Failures. All the other pages do show the correct displays, just the engine one is missing.
I have tried the Avionics, as you suggested in a post elsewhere and all seems to be working. The Autopilot, GPS and Radios. The 114 is a great aircraft, and flies lovely.........So if you have any advice I am all ears. Thank you for any help and advice, all the best Dave.

I had some of the same issues when I first installed it and chose "Repair files" after getting the "file path too long" error. I uninstalled it and made a clean installation using the C:/JustFlight/ location under custom installation. I then moved the aircraft folder into my community folder. Since then it has worked well. As for the hobbs meter, what seems to work for me is using "End Flight" and then start another flight before exiting the sim.

It really is a fun airplane to fly. I had plans of finally getting in the Starship and learn its systems this summer, but the release of the Commander changed my plans haha. -

@Stretch As @Esoteric mentions above, your installation problem is a product of the Windows path length limitation (which can be overridden in the registry), and the very deep file trees that Asobo requires/recommends that we use for their Virtual File System.
The missing tablet display and any other errors are caused by the installation having been incomplete.
The Hobbs time is saved exclusively by the simulator, and state saving being almost completely broken for the majority of users on MSFS 2024 right now is why I just invested a large amount of time into creating the new full state saving system you see in the 114, which will eventually come to all my aircraft. I've recommended that everyone report the hobbs/state saving issues to Asobo, but I haven't heard anyone get traction yet.

Thank you so much for your reply, I think I might try re-installing the product along with a fresh download from the Just Flight site. Se if that cures any of my issues. I mean it isn't a game stopper as it is, the aircraft flies and seems to do just about everything it is supposed to, but over time it would be nice to cure these issues.

Hi, just to report back. I uninstalled the 114, downloaded a fresh download from my account. Installed it in Admin mode to a custom install location........The default was C/Just Flight/114.........Something like that. Then I click and dragged the contents to my 2024 community folder. Just doing a first flight since doing this using the basic 114 and all the tablet tabs are showing correctly. The missing Engine one is now present.
The Hobs meter appears to have yesterdays hours still, but it wouldn't have mattered at the minute as there is only about 4 hours on the aircraft at present.
I wanted to thank you for replying to my original post so quickly, I think all my issues seem to be ok now. It really is great when a developer who makes great aircraft is also willing to work with us, the community, to correct any issues which have inadvertently occurred with a product release. You get my vote every time when something new releases. Thanks again, and all the best Dave.
