Storm scope not working?

    I finally flew around a bunch of lightning tonight, and the scope showed nada. Tried a bunch of different ranges and brightness settings, hit the test button a few times to check that was working, but none of the lightning all around me made any marks on the scope.

      @rinkerbuck Were you flying with real world weather, or did you just turn up the lightning slider on the custom weather? My system is not perfect, so I cannot guarantee that it will always detect the conditions ripe for lightning, but the results during testing were pretty good. If you were using real world weather, it would be useful if you could tell me the exact conditions so I could run it through my equations and see if they can be improved.

        Was flying with live weather, no weather addons, around NYC klga and Kjfk, about 9-10 PM EST

          I too got this issue, live weather, few lightnings around me and nothing shown on the scope.
          I've also seen a few YT videos where people flew with stormy conditions and got nothing on the scope.

            Does anyone have the actual device just jittering about? Aircraft is cold n dark and the device is just jiggling around lol

                  It's the same effect as discussed here. I have put more time into trying to solve this problem over the years than any other single issue. It's seems highly dependent on your render settings, though.
