Echo19 TBM850 Coming Soon!
-
I had seen some mentions of Boris doing sounds for the TBM for a while but never saw anything about them actually coming along. I guess at the very least, with this Echo19 pack coming "soon", we'll have something to hold us over until we have the Boris sounds to compare. Honestly I'm just excited to have an "excuse" to hop back in the TBM even though I have plenty of other shiny new toys to play with!

-
Well this was unexpected, but really welcomed. The sounds of the TBM are a little behind everything else in the aircraft, so this should definitely be an improvement.
Would be nice to have some news from Boris o Black Square about their progress, as many people may prefer to wait for the native ones.
-
Boris and I are still trying to find the time for this. Since it's not a new release, I'm trying not to break the bank with Boris' amazing work. However, I know that I want it to happen eventually, because then all my mainline aircraft will have the same treatment. That's the kind of consistency that I feel I must achieve across my fleet.

@Black-Square I can confidently say that a Boris treatment of the TBM will be greatly appreciated by the community. The TBM is still one of my favorite aircraft that you have developed (and yes Ive purchased them all). I'm not sure what the ROI would look like, but in terms of good will, It would be huge.
-
They're offering that for just under โฌ15. Boris has experience with his own sound packs, too. It would also be an option to offer that as a separate sound pack under your partnership. Even though I get the feeling that doesn't really align with your philosophy regarding your products.

Hey, folks! Tyler from Echo 19 here. First time posting.

Iโve been following the discussion and wanted to introduce myself. I completely understand why many of you are excited about a future Boris treatment for the TBM. He does excellent work and has earned a strong reputation within the Black Square community.
Our upcoming Precision Audio Pack isnโt intended to replace anything Boris and Nick may create in the future, nor can we speak to their roadmap. This is a separate, optional product representing Echo 19โs own approach to aircraft audio.
Our team invested a tremendous amount of time and care into this project. We worked closely with several TBM pilots to make sure we did the aircraft justice, covering far more than just the engine and propeller. The package includes an extensive cockpit overhaul, new inertial-separator recordings, the automatic fuel-selector system, additional operational details, and even new failure audio.
Our goal wasnโt to imitate another sound designer. It was to give TBM owners another professional, well-supported choice and a fresh reason to return to such an iconic aircraft. If another package arrives later, that simply means the community has more great options, which isnโt a bad problem to have!
Weโre proud of what weโve created and hope youโll give it a fair listen when it releases. We also welcome specific feedback and remain committed to supporting and improving our products after launch.
Thanks to DoubleGO1 for spotting the announcement, and thank you all for the interest!

Hi Echo 19 Audio,
Iโm interested in your Black Square TBM 850 Pro Sound Pack and I wanted to ask if it is compatible with the Black Square TBM 850 for MSFS 2020.
If it is not compatible with MSFS 2020, are you planning to release a version for MSFS 2020 in the future?
Thanks!

Since we started this project in 2024 itโs nearly impossible to back-port audio properly into 2020. Everything needs to be re-done from scratch.
Depending on the success, we might be able to support 2020. As of right now, only 2024 will be supported at launch.
Thanks for the interest and support

Hi Tyler,
Always good for simming for people to have options from several talented devs IMHO.
Do you have a list of the reworked sounds yet? One DIY mod I made was to replace the stall warning sound for one I considered to be more life like so be nice to know if things like that are covered by your add-on? Also wondering if the sound engine/pack itself can support events (without Nick having to code them into the base package) like the stall warning sound being triggered on the ground by strong winds randomly flapping the stall vane as seen in a couple of Steveokinevo's TBM videos?Cheers

JamesHey there, you can find a list here on our store page. A full showcase is coming soon, though some community members like TwoToneMurphy have already been previewing the sounds. AvAngel has a video planned, as does Dreams Of Wings. We'll share a trailer within the next day or two, and we'll also share a before/after for folks to review.
We'll also be selling the audio pack through Just Flight, with a discount for current Black Square 850 owners.

Nick and I have discussed our pack, and I'd love to support any additions the community suggests. It's fairly straightforward to add things now that the majority of the legwork is done.

@echo19tyler Nice one, I watched Murph's stream (hence how I knew about the pack) but obviously the stuff I've asked about is pretty niche but as I'm sure you know it's often things like those nuanced not often heard events that add to these great aircraft really popping in the sim. I'll follow on your official channels, love the discount idea for loyal JF/BS owners as well

Well that blows, hopefully there is enough interest for those of us that dont want to switch to 2024
