Hi all! I just bought the Rockwell Commander and she flies like I dream, I really want to fly more but I'm running into issues with my setup and getting everything bound up. Any help would be really appreciated as I am not the best with the technical and setup side of things.

For context, I am using a base install of MSFS 2024 with no addons or external software helping with the controls. I'm open to suggestions for external software if these are the solution.

The hardware I'm using is a VPForce Rhino (which is working flawlessly) and a Honeycomb Bravo throttle quadrant. I have read the manual and understand alot of these problems relate to things being Key Events but I am unsure of what this means in terms of what I need to set up.

Issue 1: I'm unable to bind the switches on the honeycomb Bravo to the relevant switches in the Commander. For example, I have the pitot heat switch set but when I use it on the Bravo it does not work, meaning I am unable to make use of my hardware and have to use the mouse, which is an immersion breaker!

Issue 2: The flap switch which on the honeycomb is a two way switch where up and down are individual buttons and the lack of either button being pushed means the middle setting. However whether or not I set it to 'extend flaps/retract flaps, increase flaps/decrease flaps or increase flaps/decrease flaps (continuous) if I use the flap switch it will just either fully extend the flaps or retract them, making it unusable to set specific flap settings.

Issue 3: More minor than the rest but the honeycomb bravo rotary knob is unbelievably slow for setting the heading bug with no obvious way to increase the sensitivity.

If anyone has any solutions to any or all of these issues I'm all ears, I'm planning to ferry my new Commander home from Bethany OK to my home base in southern England but want to do this with everything working properly first! Thanks!

      Hello,

Install SPAD.neXt. At the very end of the aircraft manual, starting on page 133, you’ll find most of the available hardware input and output assignments. There is a lot tutorials on you tube how to configure spadnext.
