    Hi,

I noticed that the Commander doesn't use the native 2024 system for copilot and passengers yet.
There seems to be an addon already available on flightsim.to to enable these. Could these please be included in the default build? I'd love to have my GotFriends Cats/Dogs along with me for the ride.
    Thanks for your consideration.

@Mort-the-2nd To be clear, my aircraft do use the native character models, I just don't have them enabled for anyone but the pilot. I have discussed this many times, though I must admit that the presence of canine and feline friends does substantially increase my sympathy to the issue. The problem is that Asobo removed all programmatic control of the character models in MSFS 2024, including rotation and scale. This means that the character models in my aircraft inevitably have their arms and legs sticking through panels and sometimes even the fuselage of the aircraft. We have been asking Asobo to fix this since MSFS 2024 was released, but with no results.

In my opinion, this unacceptably cheapens the appearance of my aircraft. I am extremely thankful that someone has been making mods, so that my users for which this is really important can have their passengers, while those who think they look like zombies are not forced to. On a side note, I have attempted to get in contact with whoever makes these mods for my aircraft before, if for no other reason than to send a thank-you. If you happened to be in contact, please send them my way!

@Black-Square thanks for the swift response. While I understand and sympathize with not wanting a copilot of passenger to clip through certain geometry in the cockpit, could there be a middle ground of having a toggle in the tablet to allow for it (with a disclaimer of course)?

I'm not in direct contact with the developer of the flightsim.to addons, but in the case of the addon for the Commander 114 specifically, you can find them here; https://flightsim.to/profile/Bluebear (hope this forum allows for links).

          additionally, it could be an idea to get into contact with Jonx over at GotFriends. Maybe the system they developed for placing your canine/feline friend where-ever you want can help out in this matter? Example of their interface;

I’m afraid I don’t believe Asobo will ever fix this in the way you are hoping for, Nick. Unfortunately, you seem to be one of the last developers who has rejected the current implementation and does not allow passengers in their present form.

Other developers have adapted their products to include passengers as effectively as possible, despite the imperfections in object collision and clipping.

Perhaps it would be worth reconsidering this approach and adding a “Show/Hide Passengers” option in the settings for users who are bothered by issues such as legs clipping through parts of the aircraft.

I know there is a modder who adds passengers to your aircraft, but this is only a workaround and it does not integrate with your tablet.

I sincerely hope you will consider adding this option.

That's exactly the problem. I can't do that anymore. We used to be able to hide the node that the passengers were parented to, and it would hide the passengers. That doesn't work anymore.

I assume you mean that only setting payloads from the MSFS 2024 EFB will make the passengers appear and disappear? That would be another showstopper for my two canard aircraft, since MSFS 2024's tablet flips canards over backwards when the payload or fuel is adjusted in any way. That's why I had to add my own tablet to the Velocity.

Sorry if I sound frustrated. To be honest, I suppose I am, but please believe me that it's not with any of you who want this feature. It's with the impossible set of restrictions that it supposes I can bypass.

Not only through the MSFS EFB. In the FSReborn Phenom, passengers can also be managed through the aircraft’s dedicated EFB, and this is actually the recommended method.

They have also added an option where a car drives up to the aircraft, baggage appears outside, and the passengers then appear inside one by one, as though they were actually boarding.

So, in my opinion, this can be implemented. It is mainly a matter of working with the SDK and finding the right solutions. Perhaps it is not exactly rocket science, and some support could be obtained through the developer forums.

It does work. Again, take the FSReborn Phenom as an example: passengers can be loaded or unloaded with a single button in their EFB

@SebAvi Can the visibility be toggled? Certainly we can add and subtract weight, but is there a way to disable the passengers completely while still being able to adjust your payload?

by default sim option Characters Quantity in graphics setting. This is default solution for all aircrafts and it's normal.
Raul from FSReborn using what SDK provide by orthodox side, so nothing is working beyound sim.
