THere are some posts about problems with AP in the BSQ Caravan pro. My issues are not the same others - I just cannot get the aircraft to hold on to a flightplan, or even hdg alone with AP engaged. AP will engage and stay engaged for a few seconds, or even a minute or so, but will invariably disengage.

This happens whether I load the aircraft at a gate and start it myself trying to follow the checklist, or load it on the runway ready to go.

Tried with an empty community folder and a clean reinstall of the aircraft, FSUIPC disabled and no add-ons engaged, and controlling AP with the aircraft controls. Good engine, no failures. Same result.

The BSQ Analogue Caravan follows the flightplan perfectly.

    Using MSFS 2024.

Still trying to figure this out. One thing I noticed, in the Youtube video I am watching, when the guy tests the AP before flight by clicking the AP engage button, the trim wheel turns. This does not happed when I click the AP button to test. Is this indicative of a problem and if so can someone tell me how to fix it? I have tried binding the trim wheel to other settings without change in the behavior of AP. The trim wheel does adjust trim when turned in the cockpit manually.

I am just about ready to give up and go back to the BSQ Analogue Caravan so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

I could swear I replied to this already... Sorry for the delay. I haven't received any reports of symptoms that sound like yours, so I'm inclined to believe that it's a local problem. Have you tried this with no peripherals plugged in to your computer? Hardware binding issues would seem to be an obvious possible cause.

I feel confident that we can find what's causing this issue for you. If you're able, sharing a video with me might uncover something. I often see details in videos that give me something to go on, even if it seems unrelated. Also, Just Flight Support might be familiar with these symptoms, since they troubleshoot a lot more aircraft, and a lot more general simulator issues than I do, just focusing on my own aircraft. Either way, I will be here to help the best I can!

Thank up for looking into this. When starting the sim this morning, it looks like I have lost all my settings for the aircraft so I will have to rebuild them. It will take a while for me to respond further.

OK, I got all the settings restored and the aircraft if flying again. I tried with no peripherals but still get the same result - AP connects for a short time and then disengages. A couple of times while AP was engaged the aircraft banked quite aggressively from one side to the other, This did not happen most recently.

I tired to make a video but so far have not figured our how to do so.

Am going to try the amphibian to see if the same problem exists with that aircraft.

            Thanks again for your help.
