Raise or Lower Water Rudder
-
Hi @Black-Square. Any chance of allowing pilot to use standard Asobo “TOGGLE WATER RUDDER” to raise and lower Water Rudder? (That is to assign a controller button to the Asobo command.) Not sure what is going on – activating the Asobo command seems to allow some steering but it does not affect the animation of the cockpit lever nor the water rudders themselves. It is obvious that the Asobo command is useful for the pilot – who would otherwise have to change the view and his concentration downward between the seats. He can do this, but it is awkward. And for most planes the standard TOGGLE WATER RUDDER command is commonly available to do the job.
Thanks.

Any change you're currently seeing is actually due to a bug in MSFS 2024, or really it's an undocumented change from MSFS 2020. You can find more details in the other topic water steering on water. You make a good suggestion. I think I would have to add a tablet option like I have in the Duke, "Use hardware events to control water rudder", but this would also negate the water rudder failure that I have implemented too. I figure it's a good compromise. I will see about adding this soon. Thanks for the suggestion!
