Hello everyone. I hesitate to wake this subject again, but has anyone here experienced the glass in the Commander 114 yet, and would they like to render an opinion? This is one case where my preferences are not necessarily aligned with the broader community, so it's difficult for me to judge what everyone is looking for.

I'm looking to know what you think before I go and add the 114's glass effect to all my other aircraft in MSFS 2024. Thank you!

@Black-Square Thank's for circling back on this. It's a huge improvement for me. I am eager to enjoy this in your other products I purchased.

@Black-Square I, for one, am not looking forward to this change. Not once have I thought, that the guages need to be more reflective and more difficult to read. But I will also reserve judgement until I actually see what it looks like.

@ploodovic I know you've been commenting recently, but do you have the 114? That's what I'm going for with the other aircraft, but it's very difficult for me to judge, since, like you, I vastly prefer the low reflection material.

@Black-Square I do not have the 114 (yet), since I’m dependent on its marketplace release. Just wanted to put a vote in for practicality over realism.

As I said, I will reserve judgement until I see it, maybe it’s completely fine. I trust your ability to find a middle ground between differing opinions.

@ploodovic For what it's worth, I'm all for low reflection, easy to read gauges, and everything in the 114 is great for me -- hopefully you'll feel the same when you see it on other parts of the fleet.

@ploodovic @Black-Square I may as well chime in with my 2 cents. I do not mind increased reflections, they can be a pain IRL for reading gauges, but you obviously can't block a reflection in the sim like you can IRL. The way it is implemented on the 114 appears to look good while still providing readability which is a happy compromise.

@Black-Square I also prefer no reflections, I never missed them in any of your aircrafts. But I don't have access to the Commander, so I can't be sure.

I'm concerned because I despise the default Cessna 172 reflections in MSFS. It breaks the immersion all the time. And I saw some developers hiding them by zooming in or blurry them, but resulting in the reflections to be low quality or pixelated.

Is that the case here? Are these reflections pixelated or they look good?

Because if the Cessna 172 is not showing, and reflections are good quality and matches the rest of the cockpit, then they're fine!! πŸ™‚

This is one of the problems. Asobo added some different cockpit panoramas for us to choose from in MSFS 2024, but none of them are good options, in my opinion, and they seem to be about a quarter of the resolution of the MSFS 2020 one. They also changed something about the glass material that makes surface imperfections almost inseparable from the panorama reflections. Honestly (and this is exclusively a Nick opinion), I think they look horrible in MSFS 2024, but I will always do my best to make everyone happy. I'm tweaking every parameter and choosing different panoramas on a per-aircraft basis to get the best results. It seems that I've won over some of the anti-reflection crowd with the 114, and it's acceptable to me, so I think that's what I will try to do for the rest. Thank you all for your opinions.
