Use Throttle Axis 1 (0-100) and add a little dead zone around the middle of your throttle.

I think that'll do the trick.

@jmarkows I have HC bravo, so I have always just used the "hold throttle decrease" assignment for the back part of the throttle so I can easily go btwn flight idle and ground idle positions. I was just curious if the dead-zone for flight idle could be larger and I hardly think cutting my axis in half will help. If anything that will make it 50% smaller.

@Black-Square On another note, I just want to take the time to say congrats and thank you for the release. I'm not terrible interested in the caravan and I mainly bought it to show support (though I am always happy to have another black square aircraft). From what I've seen in the discord servers I'm in there are a lot of people really enjoying the plane. I'm sure it comes from all of us that we really appreciate what you do.

That puts idle in the center, so farther back goes into beta and reverse without needing a button.

@jmarkows I don't really want that... honestly it's a dumb request, I will probably get used to it, i think the sounds are just a little different coming out of the beta.

It should be the same as all my other turbine aircraft in that respect, but if you really want to change it, I can give you some custom code that should do the trick.

@Black-Square Honestly I regret asking to trouble you, but if it's a really quick for you I'm happy to accept the offer.

I was going to send you something to try, but after looking at the code, it would be more difficult to change than I thought. If you're still struggling after some more flying, and after I've gotten through the first day or two of replies, we can come back to this, if you like 🙂

It would be nice to have this as a toggleable option in the tablet, like some airliners do with reverse: “Beta range on throttle axis” on/off or something like this.

I agree. I’d rather have less Reverse Range- irl you also need to pull up a lock before engaging Beta, whereas Beta to reverse is only a spring
