@Phantoms , You should be able to tell what commands each of the switches and buttons are are assigned to by first pressing [ESC] and opening the CONTROLS screen in MSFS. Then select the SEARCH BY INPUT box and just flip a switch to see what command it is currently assigned to.

@RetiredMan93231 Unfortunately, Logitech/Saitek panels do not show in the controls so that method doesn't work. They are operated by drivers.

This really takes away from the enjoyment of the Arrow and has turned me off to purchasing the Turbo Arrow when it comes out. The logitech panels are not like an extremely rare item. Once you get past yokes, joysticks, rudders and throttles then they are probably the next in terms of usage for MSFS.

I know I could use Spad, but spad would involve programming the panel for each individual plane. It would also require doing so for my autopilot multi panel. Spad does not coexist with the logitech drivers. It is a hugely daunting task when the panels already have drivers for them that work all the default and deluxe planes correctly. They also work with the Carenado Mooney correctly too. If Just Flight can not get them to control the Arrow correctly, then that doesn't bode well for any future Just Flight purchases for me. @Cdr_Maverick

You'll have to either get a Honeycomb or buy a license for Spad.next. Someone has already made a Piper Arrow setup for on Spad, so you can just "download" it and activate. I also have one that I made. As was said before, Logitech has its own drivers but they don't read as buttons in MSFS. Honeycomb does. I don't think there's any other way than Spad.next.

I found a SPAD.neXt config (from CaptCarran) and completed it. You can look in SPAD.neXt under Online Profiles: Justflight PA28R Arrow III

@Cdr_Maverick I tested the profile you suggested but when it comes to turn off the panel lights it´s not working for me. Monitoring the CENTRE_LOWER_PANEL_LIGHT (LVAR) I noticed it didn't change to 10 when turning on the switch panel.
I was able to fix it though, it is not a good code but it works :)

You add as many lines for LIGHT_POTENTIOMETER_INC (parameter 3) as you want to get the proper light bright in the instruments is best for you. I could no find a single command to replace such coding (unfortunately)

I setup the Cowl switch to turn on/off the cabin light

I cannot share the profile in SpadNext for it's on trial yet, I might buy a license in the near future I hope, its been very useful and gives a new whole set of options to configure the Logitech switch panel.

I forgot to mention it only works when TIME OF DAY is 0, 2 or 3 .. if it's 1 the panel light does not turn on.

TIME OF DAY 1 = Daylight
TIME OF DAY 2 = Evening
TIME OF DAY 3 = Night
TIME OF DAY 0 = Morning (before sunlight)

@anderson if you have a trial then you do not have the SPAD.neXr Beta which is necessary for the LVAR support. That might be the difference. Panel works well for me.

@Cdr_Maverick I’ve got a license, registered before I even used it. I don’t know how to get the Beta though. Care to share?

I’m doing alright with it, but I am still learning. I set up a “Base” profile that works on most of the default planes, then I start a new profile using that Base, and tweaking for the plane I’m flying. I take it that is the correct way to go about it?

@anderson SPAD.neXt has debugging tools and monitors where you can also find out which variables are available. Also when adding actions you can choose:

I can now see those LVAR parameters in Spadnext. But are those values only "read-only"? If I try to set those parameters on switch panel with "Change Data value", value does not change. How can I set those values?

@Kaukinen you may change the LVARs values, below follows an example, I have the Avionics switch configure to turn on/off GPS, increase Com1 and Nav1 volume, also turn on kx175 com2 and nav2 and increase their volume as well, and do the same for the other instruments

For your information, Spadnext LVARs do not work with new World Update IV due ASOBO issue.

The SET commands should be supported following our update but we'll get the ON/OFF commands added.

                                        Hello Martyn,
                                        Any news on this support?
I just bought a switch panel and it works fine with any default Asobo aircraft but with the Arrow, it's completely messed up.
Turning on one switch turns off another one, so unusable for me.
                                        Cheers, Sylvain
