DC hydraulic pump INOP?
-
Hi,
I picked up the 146 recently and been really enjoying the first few flights now. Apart from some minor stuff I discovered (which I suppose will be fixed sooner or later) it´s a very nice addon. One question I got though, is the DC hydraulic pump doing anything at all? I did a quick check of the system and it seems to handle as per the manual, but turning the DC pump on gives no indication of rising pressure in the yellow brake system. Is there something I´m doing wrong or is this an actual bug?
The aircraft was setup normally with engines running, simply all hydraulic power turned off and then activating the DC pump.
Best Regards,

This was altered in response to some feedback on the forum:
The DC Hydraulic pump should not show any pressure indication on the Yellow Hyd Press ind on the overhead panel. The DC pump basically plumbs directly into the yellow brake accumulator and emergency extension actuator directly, and is isolated from the yellow system manifold (where the press indication is) via check-valves. It does not pressurize the whole system. The only indication the the pump is pressurizing is an increase in yellow system brake pressure with the park brake set (or yellow brakes selected and depressed) and audible sound (which is only barely audible from the cockpit with the engines and apu off basically).

I was referring to this CBT section https://youtu.be/16OonNEiHFk

I wasnt really aware that the brake indicators do not show the accumulated pressure in the system but only the applied pressure. So then of course it makes sense that an indication will only be there if the brakes are set.
Thanks for the heads up. :)

The Brake Pressure indicator at the bottom of the main oanel is the only indication you'll see regarding the DC Pump. Normally, these gauges will show brake pressure when brakes are applied (either yellow or green). With the Park Brake set, the yellow gauge shows the accumulator pressure, which dissipates over time. Hitting the DC pump should increase that pressure back to approx 3000psi.
