Nose wheel?

I was going down the checklist, after start and one of the checks was to make sure the nose wheel steered well. I saw an opportunity to add an axis for the nose wheel but it will not move.
I tried to steer the nose wheel with the rudder pedals, that does not work also. Is the nose wheel functional?

Are you trying to steer the nose wheel while the aircraft is stationary? If so, that will not work. The aircraft must be moving for the nose wheel steering mechanism to overcome the ground friction.

@NG7V I promise you, the nose wheel steering is animated haha. Also the nose wheel steering axis is intended for aircraft with a tiller (many addon's for these aircraft have option to separate the rudder and tiller axes which I highly recommend doing if you have the hardware to improve rudder control on takeoff/ landings.)
