    Hi,
Nothing should have changed with what the installer won't allow you to do.
To get around the long path issue, just use the custom path option and you can then install it anywhere you like and have the sim still load it. Alternatively you can install to a custom location, delete the link in the community folder and copy and paste the files there manually. However, this will likely still have problems with the length of the path and you might lose some html files.

I had the same issue with update.
I installed first release using custom path, then moved the folder to Community and deleted the custom folder.
When I installed the update, I got this path error message. So I tried to uninstall the first release but couldn't, it seems uninstaller was not able to find the installed content.
So I had no other choice than installing the update and clicking "Ignore" button to proceed, as there was no option to install it in a custom folder like the original installer allowed to.
It seems everything is working, but I can't be 100% sure about it.

@Rich The installer does not display a custom path option anymore. But I could not uninstall previous version, that is maybe why. Read my previous message, I have been pretty much forced to install over previous version and bypass the error by ignoring it.

I have just downloaded the latest versions from the server and the custom path option is showing for both.
Sometimes programs like registry or file cleaners can misidentify the installer data as unneeded files and remove them, which will stop the current installer from being able to locate and uninstall the previous version.

Thanks for testing this. I don't use any registry or file cleaners.
I'll give this a go again this evening.

@Rich Ok I have managed to see the option.

                • Installed update ignoring the error
                • Then uninstalled
                • Then reinstalled

Option was visible because the installer was not in "update" mode of previous version.
                Thanks

@Rich Thanks for looking into it Rich. I hope it doesn't sound like I am frustrated with you guys. I know you're up against a rock and a hard place here. It just seems like this has gotten worse with my recent aircraft, and the installer is, quite literally, a users first impression of my aircraft. I had some suggestions I made in a previous email on the subject, but I'm not sure that ever got to you. We can talk about it over email soon. Thanks again.

This resolved the update issue for me too, as I used a custom path on initial installation of the 114.
Installed and ignored the errors, I was then able to uninstall the 114 properly and reinstall using the latest download available!

@Voxen I had the same issue and followed your advise. But unless that, I was not able to install it into the community folder due to long file names, so I installed it in the default install adres of justflight (C:Justflight) and that worked.

                      Thanks !
