State Saving with v0.1.1
-
Is anyone finding the state saving of items in the aircraft a bit hit and miss after the update?
I will need to try all switches etc but some things seem to save some times and not other times between flights.
Most noticeable being when I set the wheel chocks / pitot covers / engine covers on the tablet. Previously they would be as I set them on ending the flight. Even setting the 'always load covers etc' option seems to be ignored and deselected on a new flight? Even physically selecting them back in place outside the aircraft they are not there next flight.

@Woolies There were no changes to the state saving code between updates (apart from a typo or two), but I will be on the lookout.

@Black-Square I have uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that helps. Will do some testing and report back. I am not sure where the save state file for the aircraft is to delete that to make sure nothing is corrupted.

I found a STATE.cfg in my C:\Users\ username \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\SimObjects\Airplanes\bksq-aircraft-commander114turbo folder, but interestingly enough it only had:
[engine.0]
accumulated_time=1.846294

I did catch the reference in your last post, but thought for sure "I've seen similar state saving buried in my AppData somewhere, surely there's a copy in there."
My search first took me to the WASM folder, which I am intimately familiar with from troubleshooting other aircraft, and I was surprised to not see a Commander entry until I remembered of course, you don't use WASM, so why should it be?
Eventually I found the SimObjects folder, but as one might expect, it turns out you know your aircraft a bit better than I do

@Black-Square I am also experiencing some strange behaviour. I am not sure if this started after 1.1 or was there with 1.0.
The "VR Tablet Static Position" option in the tablet is always resetting back to an "On" state for every flight. I turn if off and at the start of the next flight, it is back on again.
This is happening for the TC variant only. I am able to toggle it off on the normal variant and it stays off.
