I've used the C208 professional a lot when it came out, and I've returned to it today, but there are a few things different from the last time I've used it. According to the POH, you need to set the power to 400 ft/lb for the engine runup, which should then make the propeller RPM raise to the maximum. This is how it always used to work for me. But now when at 400 ft/lb the RPM barely rises. I need to set the torque around 1500 just for the RPM to rise. Also when taking off, I need to set the power lever all the way at the max and the torque does not even reach the red T/O marking, so it's not at full power. It's like something is holding the propeller and power back.

I've also noticed the STBY ELEC PWR INOP annunciation remains illuminated constantly until I turn the STBY ALT PWR switch on after the runup, but the before taxi checklist requires all annunciations to be off already. This also was not a problem when I used the plane a few months back.

I've followed the normal procedures in the manual pdf multiple times, looked at a real world POH and followed its normal procedures, checked the tablet for any failures or other incorrect settings, and I can't find any reason for these issues. I've even reinstalled the caravan. Anyone have an idea what might be wrong?

@jgbijlsma I'm not the developer, but the Inertial Separator test (400 ft/lbs) during the Run Up should impact the Torque, not the RPM. At least this is how it's written in the real world POH, and how in the Sim you see an increase in Torque after closing the Inertial Separator. I'm pretty sure the Black Square checklist mixed both terms.

And I'm reading the Black Square checklist now and I can't find any mention for the STBY ALT annunciator to be extinguished before Taxi. Can you please point out where exactly says that? Are you sure you're not confusing the "EMERGENCY POWER" Annunciator with the STBY ALT PWR one?

And, just for the matter of asking, are you taking off with the Condition Lever in Low IDLE? That may explain why you don't reach full power.

Another thing to check is the engine health, through the tablet. If it's not in good health, through a sim quirk or accidental wrong operation, values might be off.

I've figured out where things went wrong. I used the Contrail store to check the version installed, and that indicated wrong. So now I have the latest version installed. I checked the changelogs of the last 2 versions, and indeed all these issues I have were actually incorrect and fixed in those later versions which I did not have. So when I reinstalled suddenly the plane behaved differently than I remembered, simply because I had an outdated version before I was used to.
